First person (an uncle) was welcoming with a smile stood near the stairs (left for unknown reason), while the other 3 ladis were not very helpful including answering questions & assigning table (a handful of tables were empty but said to have reserved with clients on the way)... we were asked to go find one on our own at the back (which is inside an aircond room). May be they were busy. We stood for a few minutes & decided to leave for another restaurant.

Nice view. Good portions but the food was disappointing. We ordered crab meehoon, boiled cockles, clam soup and fried kangkong. The cockles could be a litle more cooked and we struggled opening them. They were however juicy amd fresh. The clam soup was devoid of chinese wine, wolfberries and tasteless. Most disappointing was the crab meehoon - underfried and tasteless. The crabs though was fresh. The best dish was the fried kangkong.

THE OLD LADY MAYBE IS OWNER VERY BAD ATTITUDE, IF YOU ALREADY MAKE A LOT OF MONEY THEN JUST SHUT DOWN THE RESTAURANT, DON'T SHOW YOUR CB FACE WHEN SERVING CUSTOMER.200% NOT RECOMMENDED THIS RESTAURANT.

Food is good and price is reasonable. The only set back is the black particles from the exhaust of the fishing boat below reaches our table while we're having our lunch. The restaurant should do something to prevent this happening. Bad for business.

When I say this was one of the worst meals I've ever had in my whole life I am not exaggerating. Firstly, there was a long wait but I can't really blame them on this since it was during peak season, hari raya to be exact, I usually don't bring waiting time up since it's understandable for long wait times but when I say it was long, it was really long. The time between each dish they serve was horrendous as well, after serving the first dish it took around, maybe 20mins? For the second dish to be served and so on and so on. By the time it was our third dish we were already done with our rice. Secondly, the price is so unjustified. The portion was really small, they charged over RM14 for a few small stalks of vegetable? The prawn was not fresh at all, the shell was stuck onto the meat and this problem of the food being not fresh can be applied to the other dishes as well. Finally, the food taste really bad. LIKE actually no cap, it was so bad, I can't believe I wasted time to eat here, starving, irritated. Not worth the wait, not worth your time, not worth even looking at this place, only come here if you're litterally starving and the restaurants next door is full house because you will definitely, DEFINITELY regret it if you dine here.

The 4 star is for the FOOD. We had Chilli crab RM90 per kg. Butter prawn 400g for RM40. Steamed Fish Big Tail portion RM62 and stir fried garlic veggies. 5 of us, we finished it all. BUTTTTTTT the service part need BIG improvement. We are there for the first time, Taiping itself. We walked in and there were no menu, no explanation how to order but the lady kept saying ”order?” holding the note pad. I was trying to ask her how it works she simply said just pick the seafood thats all. Could have gave us option to pick from how to cook them. WAITED long for food, fish came in and then rice. We almost finished the fish when the prawn and crab arrived. And the stir fry veggies took forever, end up going to a different table and we had to go and correct them. We ate the veggies on its own as it came so late, we finished other dishes ? Environment was good, windy with fan and view of the jetty. So with improved service, could be a much more enjoyable lunch place.

A good place to dine in. Good fresh seafood with reasonable price. Can take beautiful pictures of Kuala Sepetang River like fishing boats, flying birds and even monkeys opposite of the river bank. A warm tip : Try to go during dry season.

Good view while having meal beside the river. However, on food wise I think it is overrated. We had butter mantis prawns but hardly find mantis prawns in the dish, but mostly fried flour. Corn flakes prawns and steam fish are just so so.
