★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonder why they don't consider staggering the time for patients to come or actually follow the appmt times given to the patients when they can estimate the time it wld take to do an op. Everyone rushes there before 8 and if you are unlucky like me to be number 8 for the day, even though my appmt was at 8.30 and I was there by 7.30, I had to wait until 11.30 to be attended to . Then low and behold it's lunch time for staff and Drs. I only got to leave the place at 2.30. I was told that that was OK coz this person once waited fr 7.30 to 5 pm. Totally senseless.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just entered this center..very helpful guard, nurse..just bring the referral letter to the front door show to nurse there then she ask you to bring patient for screening..then just couple minutes, ask us to go level 2 to see doctor..more convenient as compared to others governmnt hospital..in 1 day at least you have nurse screening, if governmnt hospital it takes several appointment date before can meet doctor..hope governmnt can provide more options like this ij more places in malaysia..it really help espesially for the old folks..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cataract surgery at a subsidised rate provided by MAIWP (Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan) for ALL Malaysian citizens. Surgery costs only RM103 but price of lenses range from RM700 upwards. A very good initiative by the government.
To go for a surgery, first you need to set an appointment with the specialist, who will prescribe your lens. That will take about a month. Then you need to purchase the lens from the supplier (details provided) before going again. That is another 2-3 weeks.
+ This is the best place for cataract surgery compared to other hospitals
- Waiting time is long but better than most hospitals
- This place is behind a row of shoplots off Jalan Kuching (near Tesco and Batu Caves roundabout), but the address says Jalan Ipoh. This is NOT Hospital Selayang so don't get confused
- To claim reimbursement as a pensioner you need your pension card and a photocopy of your ic, or you will have to return another day. Surgery date will be longer if you claim for reimbursement
- PLEASE BE COURTEOUS, POLITE AND PATIENT WITH ELDERLY PATIENTS.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time going there the guard is very rude. Doesn't want to be bother to answer the question in regards to the time allocation for patient appointments. He immediately went away don't want to be asked and ask me not make a fuzz when I just want to ask some basic information
One of the Indian nurse there even yell at the old patient because he couldn't hear properly :( Should be more patient and caring for those who are positioned as front liners.
Nevertheless, good service from the nurses and doctors inside. Very helpful. And quick response. :)
