Wonderful place, Fantastic Food, Lovely Owner. We stayed there only 3 Nights in July and we loved this place, so quiet, many corals in front of, perfect for snorkeling. Its a bit back to the roots, fresh water comes from the ground, so its a little bit salty, but thats no problem. Rose cooks every day really fresh food, in the evening you have to pre order and its only for her guests. I was so many times in Asia, Rose is one of my favourite Top 3 Asian Food i ever had, wonderful delicious. We'll come back, in a few years. Many Greets from South Germany.

We had a really nice stay in the Qimi Chalet. Ros is a very nice host and and if we heard the best cook on the island. The staff around us was also very friendly. The room and the bathroom have a lot of space. The rooms are directly at the beach and because of the jungle behind and the shadow of the trees it’s not too hot during the whole day and night. We were five nights on the island and after we saw all the different hostels and hotels we can say that we found the best place to stay. What’s also really nice is the private beach. It means if the rest of the beaches are full of locals at the weekend or groups of day travelers for snorkeling you have your silent beach. Thank you so much for your hospitality, Ros.

Budget resort to stay. We booked this resort through WhatsApp +60175744417 by banking in some money as deposit. You can choose with fan or air conditioner add a bit money. Electricity supply comes with alternate 2 hours. Water supply from the well. Thus salty or not use to it for shower and brushing teeth and washing face. The pros of staying pulau kapas, we are free from sandflies which is fantastic. But remember to bring insect repellent and drinking water. No worries. They supply mineral water 1.5l for RM 4 This place offers a reasonable price for those for are looking for a cheaper rate ( those who choose room with fan) to stay and value for money. It's something like back to nature. The food here was well prepared by the owners. It was delicious and you will never regret tasting it. Dinner must be ordered before 4pm so that they have enough time to prepare. We tried the barbeque set for 2 RM 100 and other additional dishes and we had a great time having every previous moment here. Owners are friendly and passionate. Snorkeling gear available but we brought our own. We felt safe choosing this beach as we have young kid with us. If you are bringing parents along and don't want to do a lot of climbing, better choose those landed units. From RM 250 onwards. Here is less people due to its a private beach and you can enjoy the serene environment. They have path or staircase connected to the next beach or camping site. Definitely we will come back again to pulau kapas and explore more places of this area. We travelled from marang jetty and bought the boat tickets at counter 1 for adult RM 40 and child half price and operating daily from 9am - 5pm anytime. Car parking overnight at jetty is RM 8 and I hope my info will be useful to you.

Frankly we didn’t staying at Qimi, we was staying around Koko! We actually have booked with them, but only 3 days later she replied if I’m up for the stay, unfortunately because late respond we did booked somewhere else, Ross the owner told us come to visit them if by chances. So the story begin, our first time in the island, our chalet doesn’t serve meals, and we went several cafΓ©, unfortunately all refused taking outside guest, so left us disappointing and starved. We decided to say hello to Rose, she very welcoming us and we feel lucky somehow, we ordered our lunch, thought all are great, I was wrong, we ordered 2 fried rice, she told us we can only have 1 rice because not enough rice as she claimed. Then we were taking easy, later on we came back again for the dinner, we was pretty happy because she can accept outside guest because its us. Was thought all are good, unfortunately she seem not happy we got back to have a dinner at her cafΓ©, we feel unwelcome by her.no dinner that night for us, strange local attitudes toward business here. We didn’t asked for free meals, we have money to pay our meals. Really awkward experience! Perhentian Island much relax local and feel so warm welcome! Good luck !

Very bad experience. Owner is not friendly and unresponsive when contacted. Had no choice but to stay at another resort where we walked over to Qimi to visit. We were shooed off quite rudely, stating that the beach AND WATER is private. We were not even stepping into their property. Can’t understand why we weren’t allowed to even swim at the beach which is public. Very disappointed at the lack of empathy, not to mention the rude unwelcoming owner.

Stayed at Qimi Chalet for 4D3N in early June 2022, during the 3 days public holiday. The booking process was very easy, got their number through Facebook and booked through WhatsApp and they were quite responsive. The room I stayed in was Rose 2, which was a basic room for 2 pax, with a queen bed and a fan. It’s a basic room with a toilet, so I didn’t expect anything extra. The room came with mosquito netting, which really helped as there can be quite a lot of mosquitoes. Towels provided. No soap though. But not a big deal for me, as I bring all on my own. My experience with Qimi Chalet was good, the owners were very friendly and attentive, the food prices were good and tasted really good. They take care of their guests well. Good service & good prices. Kapas Island receives a LOT of day trippers especially during the weekend. These day trippers will sit and lounge everywhere without respecting the chalet’s private property. The owners had to tell them off as a lot of them sat on the chairs, tables, and place their items on the chalet property are even though signages are everywhere. To me, this is good for the guests as the owners take care of the guests so we can use the facilities. And as this is a chalet run by family on an island, their food stocks are limited and they aren’t able to cater for the countless day trippers that come by seeking for food. So to me, it is understandable why they don’t cater for outside visitors. I would avoid coming here on a public holiday weekend, because the amount of day-trippers coming to this island is too much! Some rooms will require to climb stairs, so bear in mind of the rooms you’re booking. But apart from that, I had a good experience and stay.

We got to know Rosa and Nooly(007) as very warm, caring and friendly hosts. It was a family atmosphere. The resort with the private beach is in a fantastic location and can only be recommended for snorkeling. The food is always freshly prepared by Rosa and very tasty. She cooks with a lot of heart and love. It was very difficult for us to say goodbye, but we hope to see each other again. Many greetings from Langkawi Sabine and Andy
