Good location for F&B but the operator must make the place look more interesting and green. Maybe the should install more fans, add another unit of TV, the tables and chairs arrangement, etc to make sure customers feel comfortable.

Collected VEP in about an hour time. Booth is small and crowded. Can only accommodate about 10ppl at one time if raining. Saw Only Malay food stalls and small KFC restaurant available. Chosen KFC which has only 3counters. Only can accommodate 15ppl dine in at one time. Toilet cleanliness is so so. Has about 3-4 petrol stations, Shell, Petronas, among them.

Quite run down compared to other R&Rs along the NS highway. Most people are at the 3 petrol stations filling up before returning to Singapore. You're better off going there to pick up some snacks and coffee while waiting to fil up your car.

Clean place. KFC and Starbucks available here. Accessible from the highway if you're going to Singapore or from behind if you're not on the highway.

1. Information correct as on 1 July 2019 2. Singapore Vehicle on VEP tag collection. 3. Via Gelang Patah Southbound RnR 4. Strictly by appointment only ie. Received JPJ confirmation slip + Tag Appointment Slip (TAS) 5. At this location, total 4 stages to process the VEP Tag 6. On arrival, place TAS on counter 1 letter collection box, wait for vehicle number to be call. 7. Counter 1 – VEP staff will do a primary check to confirm that you have the required forms. Follow-by performing a physical RFID signal test on your vehicle. After that you will be given a Q-number for counter 2. 8. Counter 2 – Wait for your Q-number, for JPJ officer- endorsement of your documents. 9. Counter 3 – Wait for your Q-number, make payment RM 10 10. Counter 4 – Present your Q-number and wait for your turn for installing of VEP RFID tag 11. (as observed, only one car at a time for the installation of VEP RFID tag – took less than a mins to complete the job) 12. Pending on the Q, some took 15 mins to complete the whole process and some longer. 13. Note: Before coming – Make sure you have the “Touch n GO” APP downloaded and registered before coming here (you don’t need to use your smartphone during this VEP tag installation). Don’t use passport number - do use NRIC to create the “Touch n GO eWallet App”.

Update on VEP collection on 23rd Aug 2019. Guide by Max is comprehensive, just want to add some additional points. 1) Whether you arrive early or late, the total process should take around 1hour. (I arrived at 2.15pm, there were already 15 people in queue in front of me. They only opened the counter at 2.30pm so those who arrived earlier at 2pm probably got their tags done by 3pm. Mine was done by 3.20.) 2) Park your car close to the VEP processing point. If you have family members with you, ask them to go relak one corner at KFC or Starbucks at the Rnr in aircon comfort. It is safe there. Only one person needs to be present (and that should be the registered owner of the car or the authorised person) 3) On a normal day, it is Very Very hot. What I did was put documents in counter 1, wait for car plate to be called, they check documents and make sure your Tng App working properly. They will call your car plate number again for the 2nd time, this round they will go to your car and test the rfid tag on your windscreen to see it works. After this you will receive a queue number. If the queue number is far off, go to the Rnr and grab some drinks and makan first. There is a KFC and a Starbucks on the right side. The hawker area also has some nice curry puffs (2nd drinks stall) and can tabao some iced tea/coffee. Bring back to the container area and relak one corner and makan while waiting. Your queue number flashes, go to counter 2 show documents. Then after that counter 3 pay RM10. Very fast after that, put at counter 4, drive your car into the tentage and they will paste the sticker at your windscreen. (Saw someone who has the sticker pasted at the headlamp area but I don't think that will hold up well esp after washing the car multiple times). Important! Do not attempt to remove and reposition the sticker. It will likely destroy the VEP tag.

A quiet day in this R&T. The express bus stopped by, its door was not opened for passengers to go down, as the driver went down to meet someone...
