★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bad Service and unfriendly staff
1. RECEPTION
Standard check in is at 3pm. To make the staff easier, we came at 12.50pm to acknowledge that we already here so that the room will be ready by 3pm. However we only manage to check in at 5.30pm. The reception staff showed their face. Unacceptable is receptionist expecting guest to understand their problem by saying we have no staff, you have no choice, have to wait. The word they use is " this is biasa for us by working back to back, guest have to wait if they need room". I'm not here for early check in. And I'm not here for stay free.
2. COFFEE HOUSE
The buffet breakfast was terrible, nasi sambal uncooked, beehoon dry and hard and the sausage are sticky.
2. BEACH CAFE
We have done our pre order a day b 4. however the food was delay almost 40min. Staff have no smiling face. Unprofessional as I over heard that one of his staff receive guest complaints however the manager advice the staff to go and tell the guest "if you are not satisfied please get lost, we don't need this type of guest and he said don't layan". As I'm also a guest dine in there don't feel is the right way to handle guest complaints.
4. Cleanliness
Lobby toilets are so dirty, rubbish bin not cleared, lift are not clean n it smells.
Sorry because this was the worst experience that I have gone through as I'm also a hotelier and I understand the situation however no matter how we busy we must always have eye contact, professional ways of handling guest complain, PA should be stand by all the time as we have kids and elderly guest moving
around. The floors are wet more of the time.
Will not recommend to anyone

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am a regular guest at this hotel and am happy with the facilities. However, I personally feel that the front desk service is poor, and the employee I met during check in before always just dismissed me without waiting for me to finish my questions (that was around the time of Hari Raya this year). As a result, I had to book a hotel in Penang today because I had to do something on short notice, but the phone call made me feel very unhappy. It was the same problem, they said fully booked before I even haven't mentioned the dates, and they hung up very quickly after thank you.
I know very well that the front desk staff can be very busy, but they don't have to be perfunctory or even reply to guests in a bad tone. I have rented this hotel for many years and this is the first time I have experienced such a service attitude. I hope the hotel management will improve the service at the front desk. This is not the first time I have felt this way, but the second time this year.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Interior of the room was old. More like home stay. No house keeping. I stayed 2 nites. Toilet was quite run down. Furnitures and tv were old. Bath towels were like nylon. Cant absorbed any water. Its more like 2 star hotel. The beach bar was great with beers and food. Food nothing to shout about. Its great in the evening to enjoy sun set and the cool breeze. Not going back to the hotel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The worst ever hotel in Penang! Please people outside there do not choose this hotel for your holiday. Very3 bad receptionist services.very rude. I manage to change dates thorough online booking system unfortunately the hotel side blame online booking system. Need to change because had emergency issues. They ask for evidence and we give the discharge notice from hospital because my kid was warded in ward in that date but lastly they declined and ask to speak with online booking system. What such a crazy services. I also ask for any dates which is free for us to stay ( not picky) but also no room. They took my money Without stay yet! VERY RUDE EVER!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice location, beach, large rooms & beautiful views marred by old furniture and poor maintenance. Friendly staff. Watch out for carpets on the corridors that can give a nasty trip & doors that can be easily unlocked from outside. Also by guests who do not follow rules on swimming attire while using the pools and wetting the lifts when they return to their rooms. Nothing worth watching on the tiny ancient televisions. Also limited sockets for charging, none near the headboard.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not the best place to stay. The reason we booked it is because it was a last minute decision to stay in the surrounding area.
Me and my family stayed there for one night.
The hallway looks haunted and the maintenance of this hotel is poor.
It's definitely an OK place if you are on a budget or it's a last minute and you can't find any place else to stay.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This hotel has spacious room and the location is very suitable for those who wanna rest. I take this room from other private host not directly from the hotel management. Very easy deal with J Suites Management. Parking very easy. Will definitely come again here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I stayed for 2 days with my brother. It was such a good place to stay even though it can be a little bit scary at night. Got swimming pool that's not too crowded and also the breakfast here was also nice with a reasonable price. Recommended if you wanted to spend your time with your family here. However, please be careful when you wanted to enjoy the view from the balcony as it's a bit trippy.
