Old review:
Drinks were good however were given seats outside (people who had no reservations / walk ins were escorted there) despite having made a reservation and coming early. Was told that they will give us seats when there is availability.
After a while, some people left and we saw several seats were empty. We asked to be moved inside several times and was told that it’s extremely full. Eventually those seats were taken by people who came after us. Maybe they had a reservation too but then I am also wondering what does my reservation even mean? If you can’t cater then don’t accept. That was quite disappointing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is legit, all killer no filler. Was skeptical at first, but the hype around town about this joint is real. The descriptions in the cocktail menu went completely over my head, but everything I ordered was shockingly good, so much so I went a lil overboard ordering (thankfully i wasn't driving). The floor staff were both attentive and informative, and the ambience allowed for some really fun conversations. Highly, highly recommended.

Reka is definitely one of the cocktail bars you should visit in KL. We had 5 different cocktails and they were all unique and good!
Drink Your Toast was a warm cocktail that really reminded us of the Malaysian kaya toast. The biscotti with an earl grey tea sort of spread paired well with it too. Naughty Congee was a cocktail with ginger spiced oriental flavours. The salted sprinkles of toasted coconut and ginger powder gave the cocktail even more depth. The Cloud & Clear had a rich finish from the milk tea and clarified salted caramel. The citrusy meringue cloud complemented the drink with a tinge of sweetness and tang. Bubble Trouble had fermented flavours from the kombucha foam and a roasted rice aftertaste from the genmaicha. Mari Berangan had a local old school mata kuching drink vibes with a hint of banana aroma. The genmaicha sphere in it doesn't do much though.
The bar is spacious and the service is good. We really appreciated that the bartender took a little bit of time to explain the cocktails even though the bar was busy on a weekend.
Best item of the visit: Drink Your Toast and Naughty Congee

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great cocktail. Visited 29/3/2022 with a friend. A place to enjoy a cocktail. I tried their Watermelon Sugar High and Clouds & Clear cocktail before few glasses of Rob Roy. It was tasty, yet innovative & dynamics concoction. Thank you for your great service Joel and the teams.
