★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great quality food, ordered Kam Heong fish slice rice and Ah Goh signature noodles both r good we also ordered stir fried kai lan which were nicely done n crunchy! The meal comes to rm27 for 2 pax.
Will I be back ? Definitely yeah .... to try the egg one omelette and fried rice ....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A friend invited me for dinner on Merdeka eve to celebrate this year's National day, and I said why not. My friend then gave me the location and the name of the restaurant. He said, AH GOH Restaurant in Brickfields and I replied 'What', I was like having second thoughts and asked myself what type of a place is this. My imagination ran wild, to challenge myself I took the honour to try it out. Till today after more then 48 hours, I have not regretted a single minute having been there for the dinner. The food was simply marvelous, I never for the first instinct thought that Ah Goh restaurant would be such a delightful place to have a meal of such exquisitely appetizing chow time. The dishes we ordered were not out of the ordinary but the taste was to everyone's liking. Like the saying goes, don't judge the book by it's cover is a theme said with distinction. Again, I ask you not to look at the surrounding, it may be a little not you expected of a 5 star restaurant, the sitting arrangement is a little squeaky, just ignored that and go for the food. Bet you, you will never regret going there and best of all you can bring along your Muslim friends, the place doesn't serve pork. The owner is pretty friendly and she will suggest orders to your oomph. Best of all you get all the good food served with a fraction of the price your pay in fancy restaurants. 5 dishes we had, a mixture vege, a butter prawn (high recommended) , one assam fish (excellent), a ginger dear meat and a chicken dish, 3 bottles of beer all adds up to RM180.00 +. Yummy yummy yum yum........... you can expect me visiting again to try out other dishes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ At the beginning, we were sceptical because the kitchen looks untypical to the Western European eye. The other reviews were very promising however, so we gave it a try. The waiter was very friendly and with great endeavors, we felt very welcome (even though we felt quite exotic). We went with the Assam fish and special noodles with fish and a large Tiger beer. Very good and highly recommendable, great value for the money. We would always come again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ That municipal building in Brickfields is full of hidden gems. Ah Goh is a super interesting one because it is a Chinese stall in a predominantly Indian area, staffed by a multicultural staff, including Malay and Chinese.
The service is attentive and they do the small things right. The food court can be stuffy and the owners make sure that you get your fair share of the fan. The staff is also attentive, even for a food court stall.
I really dig the noodles here and I could see myself being a regular overtime. Great flavours and texture, a little bit oily but I'm the type of bloke that doesn't complain about that.
