★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place was recommended by friends. It is located at the end of the road and can be easily searched by Google map. No regrets coming here. It was very crowded and had to wait about less than half an hour before we got seated. The Claypot cheese bee hoon, Kong bak Pau were very good and so were the other dishes. The staff also have good recommendations if you're not sure.

The restaurant is tucked by the side of a rather newly developed commercial area, right by the Double Tree Hilton.
Yes, every dish is served in claypot. Portion size is ok, slightly more than KL. But when everything is served in claypot, water/juice starts to form.
Personally it's OK, food remains hot for a longer time, but the taste is lacking in most dishes we ordered.
Price is alright.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A friend recommended this place. But after trying, we find the food were only ok /taste average. The only unique thing is, everything were served in a Claypot. I find the restaurant a bit hot and stuffy. All food were in Claypot and without any AC installed, it is really uncomfortable to dine in, especially on a hot afternoon. Bright side is, their service was good and staff were attentive. Do not order their Hokkien mee and Cheese Mee Hoon. They were a bit blend.

I came during rainy day night, ordered pork belly pepper soup, curry chicken, vinegar sweet chicken, vege & pork belly with salty fish. Overall delicious cooking, hygiene is ok. The shop is located at Abandon commercial area where only massage parlour & KTV are opening so parking is plenty. Price is ok, we order 5 dishes (portion to serve 6pax) cost us RM130. This place favoured by local.
One notch down for the pork belly with salty fish without aroma of salty fish.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one of the must eat places where we are in Melaka. My wife and I are there twice in two days ?. First day for lunch, there were three of us and we ordered four dishes. I insisted on the curry fish fillet...it's my favourite but be prepared to eat a lot of rice. Vegetable was sweet potato leaves and it was well cooked, but the vegetable was a bit stringy. The pic stomach soup was excellent though my two companions only had the soup and I had most of the offal. Last dish was black vinegar pig trotter. That was excellent too and the girls polished that off. I stick to the curry. As usual, there is a bowl of fresh garlic and another of chili padi, to go with soya sauce. Perfect together. We had fresh made barley water kosong (no sugar) as our drink.
Following day, we were running late and couldn't get a Grab. So called the restaurant and they were very obliging to wait for us. I think we turned up 10mins before lunchtime closing. Only two of us this time and the dishes. We had ginger spring onion fish fillet which is one of their specialties. Excellent especially (for me) with the fresh garlic. 2nd dish is another of their specialties, the salted fish pork belly. Excellent with rice! Last dish was just garlic fried HK chye sim. We pretty much finished all three dishes ?.
See the pictures. This place has amazing food. We'll be back the next time we're in Melaka!
