We had a VIP room to ourselves (12pax), which cost 3% more. Service was top notch, we were well taken care of. Food wise, were all wowed by the roasted suckling pig! One of the best we had. Other dishes did not disappoint too. We are planning our next visit already! Highly recommended.

Visited this restaurant on 12 May 2022. Lucky we were there at the right timing. About 20 minutes after we sat down, I can see queue building up outside the restaurant. Food nice, price very reasonable. But please, my advice, do not try the Peking Duck. To me and my friends, as we are Peking Duck champs, the Peking Duck served in this restaurant Fail. Other than that, other dishes were fantastic... Staff ok... Every single table was occupied and the kitchen and staff managed to handle it... Very good.... indeed.

Good food not so great service. The servers were confused and lost. Most seemed disinterested to serve.

CNY 2022 reunion dinner was a disappointment. Food while looking nice was alright tassting and passable. Service was BAD...price is too high as well for the type of food served. In the past Pekin used to provide great food at affordable prices but over the last couple of years it has gone downhill - food is adequate only but prices have gone above inflation and does not provide any value. Give them a miss and try some other Chinese restaurant.

More than 3 years did not visit Restaurant Pekin. The food are still good and yummlicious. Highly recommended for foodies who wants to have authentic Chinese cuisine for celebration and gatherings.

? Double Flavoured Prawns (RM 103) ? Butter Sotong Medium (RM 40) ? Buns with Pork Medium 12 Pieces (RM 34) ? Yam Basket Small (RM 31) ? Kang Kong Small (RM 11) Bittergourd Soup Medium (RM 13) ? UPDATE 2022: Menu is updated, there are items where price is not indicated and will vary depending on season. Better to enquire before purchase. I didn't because I thought, how expensive can prawns be... It ended up costing RM103 for like about 10 pieces of prawn... WHICH IS TOTALLY NOT WORTH IT. Though it tasted good. Learnt my lesson and will enquire before ordering items with no prices stated. Went there 2 times, first time at the end of 2019, the 2nd time when Covid-19 occurred. They gave us hand sanitisers at the entrance which I thought is really nice. ? The food is really good, I really love the pork buns and the butter squid. ?And the main thing is that it is value for money. Really worth it. For a table of around 8, we spent around RM250 when we ordered alot and slightly below RM200 when we ordered lesser. ? Not much wait time as well, probably because I always go there around 8pm. ?I will definitely return again, probably visit once everytime I visit Malaysia. That's how worthy it is. I'll make the trip down specially.
