β β β β β While visiting KL we went here twice, amazing food. The fried momo was probably mt favorite, my boyfriend loved the spicy fried chicken and the soy bean salsa is also great, wish I could come here more!

β β β β β The food is simple and the prices very low by KL standards. The waiter must have thought I really needed to put on weight because I was not only served extra rice but also an extra portion of dahl. Will be back!

β β β β β Hidden upstairs and accessible through a nondescript door halfway up these stairs, The Khukri is a Nepali restaurant frequented by Nepali expatriates so you know it has to be good. This restaurant serves authentic Nepali food with a varied and affordable spread that includes Nepali staple Dhal Bhat which is literally dhal, rice and various condiments. This can be accompanied by various curries including a pork curry which is actually quite good. Obviously it's not halal. The pork is actually a substitute for mutton which in Nepal is actually served with skin on but since this isn't available in Malaysia, pork with skin is the closest thing to it. Also be sure to order the fried momo which is a Mongolian influenced fried dumpling but served with an excellent and uniquely Nepali dipping sauce. Update January 2021: unfortunately the ongoing pandemic situation forced this excellent restaurant to close down permanently in Dec 2020. However they still have an outlet in Cyberjaya β search for The Khukri Chulo for it.

β β β β β Dal bhat FTW! Simply delicious and heart warming especially during rainy days! ? The Nepali khana set is very authentic just like in Nepal. Dal dhido is extraordinarily swell. The upkeep of it's tradition and culture in this humble place is admirable given that the restaurant has been established for over a decade here in Malaysia.

β β β β β Really good Nepalese food. Their Khana set, also known as Dal Bhat, is the best I've tried in Kuala Lumpur. Also Momos are nice though they don't have vegetable Momos. Very clean and nice place with good customer service. Worth going. Prices very affordable.
