Pretty solid food taste overall. They serve mainly Chinese dishes. Claypot kangkung, salted egg mantis, and not forgetting their signature loh mee is a must try ?

Absolutely fantastic. All their main dishes are noodle based and the sauces are light yet extremely flavourful. The Cantonese kuey teow and mee is excellent so is their signature dishes. The kang Kung is also a garlicky delight and the portions are big. I'm a big eater but even one 7.30 portion of their noodles is enough for two. Their chicken wings are very good. Coated in sauce but still crispy. 12 large wings for 19rm is very well priced. All in all great little place to visit. Decor is dingy but not an issue when the foods this good.

Very very good restaurant - the food served is almost akin to home cooked food. The flavour and taste is superbly delicious. Outwardly the restaurant is not much to look at but the appearance is deceiving. Unlike a standard Chinese restaurant where they only have handful of standout dishes, and the rest are space fillers - Hock Lee has several knockout dishes. The Ulu Yam Law Mee, fried snake beans , fried brinjal ... You can't go wrong here. Its one of the very few restaurants that is hitting far above its league.

Walk in to order takeaway. Very slow eventhough there is no dine in waiting to be served. After a while, a walk in to dine in had her meal first, finish already I was still waiting. Seems to be prioritising food delivery orders. End up, the Loh Mee I got is almost tasteless and has burnt smell (some of the noodles are burnt), and the soup is watery.

Order the Loh Mee and Hokkien Mee. Comparative Hokkien Mee is better

This shop has very extensive menu - noodles, rice, dishes... 1. Ulu yam Loh Mee - this is goooood! The gravvy isnt the scary gluey type. I like it this way, easier to drink :)))) 2. Guinness Stout Chicken Wings - not sure whether because of the travel time to reach home. This was just okay? 3. Shu Fen Gan- this is nice! Got wok hei and goes really well with their sambal. It has very chewy texture:) 4. Salted egg chicken- awesome giler. Very sinful ? 5. Signature chi gek mee huon - veryyyyy big portion! Lotsa meehuon man. Prettyy good! 6. 月光河 - this tasted odd to me with alot of bean sprouts. 7. Stir fried kangkung - ada wok hei! Btw this is my third time visiting the shop, the first 2 experiences were superb, the latter was underwhelming. The taste was pretty big differences during weekday lunch

This joint serves way more than jus Loh Mee. They serve ala carte rice and a lot more side dishes. Choices are plenty, but dont entirely follow the chef's recommendations on the menu. Some are not necessarily good. Their Loh Mee is good. But some other dishes are OK at best. Just to cater more choices to their customer. Average out to a wallet friendly below rm13 per pax for a lunch time meal.
