★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We chanced upon this delightful GEM of a restaurant, Restoran Hikmah, run by a very down-to-earth and friendly Mr Sufiah (Soo-fee-ah) and his talented wife Madam Sutiah (Soo-tee-ah. She cooked everything!). T
he food is delicious, and prices are extremely reasonable!
The Roti Jala (lace egg pan-cake) is pretty good and sells out fast.
The mutton curry was flavorful and I loved that I could help myself to the portions. Mr Sufiah even gave us a portion of Gulai, which is a kind of beef curry with a dollop of spicy savory sambal.
They're very relaxed here so it made dining an enjoyable and comfortable experience! The restaurant sits opposite the small white clock tower, at the entrance leading to the Aquarium, Mangrove Boardwalk and Bukit Malawati. Parking is easy (there's a car park along the row where the restoran is located) as there is a large car park opposite the restoran.
