★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Must try as it will not disappoint you. Food quality, presentation & price wise is very good. We ordered 6 dishes, 2 rice & a pot of Chinese tea for 6 persons; it cost us less than MYR 220 in total.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good detail and qualtiy ingredients being served here with a few traditional chinese dishes that you could hardly find in Malaysia. The service is good and the serving was fast. the only reason why this wasnt a 5 star review was the dishes was a little on the salty side. Did i mention reasonable pricing too?!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The restaurant was a branch of Sek Yuen. Food was good especially the pei pa duck. The only issue is that the place is a bit hard to get parking as the pudu lrt car park was taken over for development.

Update CNY 2022 - Came here again and food was even better than the first time. The duck and the pork knuckle is awesome!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The roast duck is amazingly good, I'd say the best I've ever had in KL. Its served plain, without any sauce, crunchy skin, tender meat. Must try if you're around the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have a dinner here with Siblings togethers, When Old ladies come to take our order, Ask this Old lady to recommend best dish they have here, She replies No . She reaction is bad & terrible attitude to Us, All dish we order take long-time to come even new customers come been served. Food they prepare is tasteless to ours experience & when we all completed & Ask for bill they don't bother till I had to personally walk to the counter to pay. Hava bad experience on this restaurant, My last visit to this restaurant. If you are new to this restaurant my advice is please don't come here. Only for regular customer they think known their dish... Very Very Bad customer service ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ New Sek Yuen is a worthy option to the original Sek Yuen which is about a km apart from each other although the latter and former are situated at Jln Pudu and Jln Sg Besi respectively.
Food wise there isn't much difference as both originated from the same pedigree.
The crispy skin roast duck aka Peipa duck, shark fin in fried scrambled eggs to go with raw lettuce, steamed chicken with kailan in light soy sauce, Chinese New Year special Lup Mei glutinous rice with waxed duck and Chinese sausage and the crab meat water chest nut nuggets complete our lunch of the day.
Praise from all round of its delectable and memorable taste of yesteryear which is still current that makes it a draw for quarterly family event.
The spaciousness and high ceiling gives it a cozy and relaxing ambience. Waiting time for food a tad long and valet parking is not free.
