★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very old school establishment that serves very good hokkien dishes.
I’ve ordered all the recommended dishes below and none disappoints.
I suggest that you go there early especially if you have a big crowd as they only have 3 big tables which fits 8 pax and 5 small tables that can fit 5 pax.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very good find online. This place serve authentic hokkien food at very reasonable prices.
Try out all their fried noodles as they have very good flavors and 'wok hei'. As for the dishes they have just the right balance of flavors accompanied by excellent chilli sauce. Definitely a must visit .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is truly a hidden gem in KL. Serves very authentic traditional dishes, and the signature must try is the sweet potato flour noodles! Really need to keep your eyes open while looking for the restaurant because the entrance is just a small door in an alley and you won't be able to see the interior.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For the portion of food + the taste + the place, it does not justify the RM 14 I paid. My meal was a plate of fried glass noodles + 1 warm herbal tea. And the place is quite hot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered stewed pork fried bee hoon (but no pork lard) , popcorn chicken with oat, century egg. Overall, taste was average. May come back to try other dishes....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Only ordered Stir Fry Tapioca noodle (炒薯粉) and Hokkien me, plus one pot of tea for RM25, overall a pleasant experience, indoor is quite chilly and comfortable for small groups to eat.
Noodles are seasoned well, Tapioca noodles has a just right chewy texture, with quite handful celery taste. Hokkien noodles is ok, other place may be better.
Overall will revisit for other dishes for a comfort lunch =)
(Ps: Didn't try 大炒, so no comment on that)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My first visit to PU YUAN RESTAURANT. Read some negative reviews with a good balance of positive reviews, I decided to give it a try.
The food is delicious. The meat roll is crispy outside and meaty inside. The potato flour noodles is a must try. Ginger steam fish is perfect for the taste bud. Also the century egg wrapped with fish paste is a perfect appetizer before the mains. Niang gao or Pak Kor is delicious, taste exactly the same as in China.
Not sure why some people complain that it’s expensive. With five dishes plus 2 boiled sugar cane drinks at 95 ringgit is a fair deal. I will definitely come again.
