"Come, I bring you to a place where I always eat" After 20 min drive from his office, we arrived in front of the restaurant which is located in the Klang city centre. After we took our seats and he placed an order, he continued "don't judge a book by its cover, although this place doesn't look like much, many big taukeh including those public listed boss came here just to eat" my customer who has lived in Klang most of his life told me. Words that carry weight. That certainly intrigued me - I looked around and noticed that everything looked dated. Quite tired and seriously in need to be refreshed if I may say. Everything is just the way it was when it opened for business from the first day. The signage had already faxed - the wordings were hard to read. Damn even the plates and spoons had the vintage look. ◾Steamed fish - you don't have ask what fish because they only have 1) one fish - pomfret and 2) one style of cooking - steamed; lastly covered with their homemade sauce consisted of minced garlic, bird eye chilly soy sauce (and some I couldn't identify) before garnished with chopped spring onion. Such a perfection in this dish that you'd see one stainless steel dish with the fish on almost every table.. fish was cooked just right and the concoction tasted like a match made in heaven. ◾braised Hokkien mee - the dish i liked the least because instead of using the normal thick noodle, they used yellow noodle which had the alkaline taste. Taste-wise it was quite good ◾stir fried cabbage with pork and prawns - I didn't expect such simple dish could get my eyes gleaming. First bite and it revoked memories back in those days where my grandmother cooked for me. It had the old school taste that I love. ◾Stir fried tapioca noodles - similar to CKT but using tapioca noodles, it ticked all the right boxes in terms of colour, smell, taste and wok hei. It's be great with see hum but sometimes life is just not perfect. Not many establishment offers tapioca noodles these days. I ended up sapu-ing most of the dishes there. No menu, selection is limited and the service could get grumpy sometimes (I witnessed first hand) due to the mood swings. But that doesn't stop the regulars from coming again and again. Not many places offer this kind of cooking style anymore. One more place to bring the family next time. PS they call this restaurant a Klang Hilton due to the high price but I guess it’s the price to pay for quality. Don’t be shocked with the bill

Food is excellent. Must book! Go early. Do not expect good service even though pricey. No credit cards, bring cash. Decor is spartan and has not improved over the years, but at least it's air conditioned. Washroom is below par.

Amazing seafood at a place known as Klang Hilton as the pricing rivals a 5 star hotel. A must try is the steamed promfet with yellow noodles! (I’ve ever had this anywhere else b4) the fried prawns and the Egg Oysters! Food was really good but remember to bring cash as it’s cash only !

Love this place. Food is awesome! But patience is a must over here! You'll need to make a reservation, and be on time, or else your table would be given away. It's limited tables over here, so if you're a walk in, you might not get a table. Also, it's not known to be a friendly establishment. The server has an attitude, and you'll have to put up with it. Lastly, this place is pricey. Be prepared to spend here. It also only takes cash, so those credit cards and epayment wallets is not going to cut it here. The go to dish here, is the garlic pomfret with yellow noodle, oyster egg, and deep fried prawns. Their noodle selections are decent as well.

The pomfret steamed to perfection. It is a dish to die for in this underwhelming old looking restaurant. It has a nickname of Klang Hilton for its 5 star pricing of its dishes. There is no Hilton hotel in Klang. This shop uses fresh and good quality ingredients. Fish maw and pan fried oyster are popular dishes too. You have to like garlic to enjoy the steamed pomfret. You will not be disappointed with the food, maybe the price.. ?

This place sells a story. I was brought here without the prior knowledge that it is a famous "Klang Hilton" known for high prices but yummy food. Rating based on my impression then, I would rate the food 4-stars: the fish was very well executed but a tad fishy, the prawns had good flavors but lacked freshness, the oysters were abundant but overcooked. Taking price into account it would be a tight 2-stars: you can easily find better food at better prices in KL (disclaimer: I'm not familiar with Klang's standard). But since it is selling a story, and it maintains a high approval rate from VIPs, I would give them an extra star for having done their story well!

If you looking at service this is not the place as they dont have menu and pricing. But if you looking for good food with fresh ingredients this is the place. But be prepared for the price. Worth a try at least once.

Service is so bad, place is so run down, and price is out of the world. But, food is really good, so good that I gave 5 stars, ignoring all the negative sides.. It is that good!
