β β β β β Cheap, fresh and you get to enjoy what it's like to eat like a local. The lala with onion was not bad, pork knuckle was not that big of a portion but I personally enjoy the deep fried sotong. We were there on a Thursday noon, no queue at all, there were only four tables occupied. Service was speedy. Car park aplenty.

β β β β β Drop by this restaurant otw back to penang Island. It was packed during lunch hour on a sunday. Ordered baby octopus, morning glory with sambal, teowchew toufu and final dish is claypot frogs. Overall taste is good. No complain on service either.

β β β β β I always dropby here on my trip back from the North. Good seafood porridge and deep fried pork knuckle. The octopus is good too. All seafood are fresh. Price is reasonable.

β β β β β This is a typical Chinese Zhu Char restaurant in Nibong Tebal town, Penang. It is an old local popular restaurant, so it is usually packed during weekends and on public holidays. The food here are fresh and delicious, with reasonable price. Recommended signature dishes are pork knuckle, boiled octopus,prawns and steamed stingrays.

β β β β β Good food at reasonable prices. Signature pork knuckle sold out so tried other dishes. The octopus, claypot field frogs, curry prawns, Thai style steamed lala and sweet potato leaves all tasted delicious. Service is fast and good too.

β β β β β This is a restaurant with stir fried dishes. Food is great, 4.5/5. Fried pork knuckle and steamed octopus are must-try!
Environment/ambience, 2/5. Workers were constantly smoking so it was quite a terrible experience. But that's kind of a typical behaviour in non air-conditioned restaurants in Malaysia. More like mindset and enforcement issues.
Toilet, 0/5. Please, if you are going with kids, make sure they have cleared up their bladders before stepping into this shop. I almost threw up all the good food I ate due to the extreme ordour in the toilet.
It's quite a shame the service, attitude and cleanliness areas are overlooked because the food is really so good! I think doing takeaway will really help to enhance the whole eating experience. ?
