★ ★ ★ ★ ★ WHAT is the most important element in a bowl of pork noodles? Some might say the broth while others point to the “spare parts”. Those that do not like internal organs will mentioned the minced meat, pork ball, pork slices... and the hardcore ones will add pork lards.
I have come to know Tanjung Satu ever since my ex-girlfriend (now wife) who happened to be Menjalara girl for a period of time.. brought me here! If I am not mistaken, the famous Siew Kei used to operate from Tanjung Satu before moving out on their own. Oh well... new tenant came in and the pork noodle was quite good too, as tasted by yours truly one morning when I was in that area.
Menjalara area houses quite a number of pork noodle establishments - think original Siew Kei (which I still go back from time to time) & Mr J Kitchen (few doors away from Tanjung Satu).
▪️just order your choice of pork noodle - soup or dry, type of noodle, with or without spare parts (internal organs in case you’re wondering).
▪️the bowl arrived with murky soup, indicating sweetness and full-of-flavour tummy warming broth. Chinese lettuce made up all the greens intake you need with the meats!
▪️do not forget to ask for more pork lard if you are as hardcore as me.. lol! Oh yes... egg at extra charges too!
If you love eating pork noodle in the comfortably, you have to come early in the morning to enjoy the morning breeze in the alfresco style.. inside the restaurant can get too hot while it will be hot & stuffy outside after 9am.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quite a number of restaurants in Bandar Menjalara serving Malaysian street food. As a visitor, I chose one by the crowd thronging this one during breakfast time. I ordered Penang prawn noodles. Slightly above average quality. Coffee drink satisfactory. Did not try the other many stalls.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place but awful services from the Wanton noodle stall. Ordered and waited for 1 hour but was still asked to wait. Other customers near me who came later than me got their order already and I was still asked to wait. There was no number given to me but we gave them our table number. When I have to cancel, they just unapologetically apologize since it doesn’t affect them much but I went home hungry.
Until they have a proper numbering system for customers, I will not be buying from them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There are few food stalls I like in the coffee shop. Like prawn mee, fried kuey teow, Wan Tan Mee & pan Mee. Do give them a try. You will not be disappointed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This restaurant having plenty of food stall, I do try on the "Loh Pan Mee" because not all Pan Mee stall got sell this flavor and the "Loh Pan Mee" is my favorite. The soup base is good but the "Loh" mixture overall is too thick and gluing. The fried mince meat is flavorful. Nevertheless, the additional of vinegar to be added in really bring the "Loh Pan Mee" up few level. The restaurant having quite number of table and space and will not make you feel too pack or crowded.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would recommend pork noodle and chicken rice. Cham is excellent. Western stall deep fries their luncheon meat in some weird sweet tasting batter.
