★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We came in with friend and small kids, finding your way here for the first time can be nerve wrecking as there are no street lights so its pitch black, drive slowly as there are sharp corners, once there parking is plenty, so is the seating, weekends are usually packed they said. Going into the restaurant u will be greeted by the owner that’ll ask for you to order straight away, once done you hand the order paper to the staff while finding a table, if you order fish or lobsters etc be sure to check the sizes they pick for you, else they’ll just choose whatever size is there, i would say its not stroller friendly but do bring them along as the place is floating you may want to seat your kids on them when eating, they have a boat ride packaged along with meal if you want, at night they can bring you to a firefly site which is quite a view, bring mossie guards just in case, the food we ordered was good and at a decent price point, would recommend this place

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If u first time to go to this restaurant, please don't be scared about the road to the restaurant. Yes, the road don't have light. It's the correct road and just follow your GPS. When u arrived, ull see plenty of cars and the restaurant itself. This restaurant literally floating and got partition where the boat already modified to be a food place.
You need to order at the small counter at the bridge before u enter the floating restaurant. After that, the worker inside the floating restaurant will assist to ur place.
The food. It's delicious. I got so big Kupang. I never eat that big before. The pricing is okay for the experience. Don’t expect 5 star dishes.
They also provide Fireflies tour. Price RM 20 per person
Side note: This restaurant has many customers. Please come early if u don’t want to wait for the Q. Please be mindful as the workers also a human.

This place epitomizes going back to the kampung days! If you’re having a holiday in the desaru, this makes for quite an interesting night activity. Be prepared to drive in through a dark road for about 5 mins- trust the gps and head right through. You’ll end up seeing a bunch of cars parked and that’s when you know you’ve made it. Once you enter, you’ll cross a long bridge upon a river where you have to first make your order before proceeding in to pay and be ushered to your seat. Food was not too bad, served fast and tasty.
The firefly tour was an awesome experience - costs 20RM per pax and the boat is adjoining to the restaurant area. It usually is fully packed during weekends but the guide and experience was worth it if you haven’t seen fireflies before. There were quite a lot of fireflies on trip.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ People usually order set menu... Food is served very fast and it quite organised... Their also control the crowd and have a waiting area before they are being allowed in... Food wise, it taste nice... However, the kerang bakar is overcooked

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food were great. When they get busy, they might forget your order. Do remind them so they will get it right for you. Avoid peak hours 6:30-7:30pm.
If you can wait or a late eater, consider to come after the 8pm departure for the first ferry for firefly sighting. It will be lesser crowds.
Firefly Ferry captain and his assistant were cool and steady. They made sure we get to see fireflies.
Ticket per pax is RM20 which I think it’s well spent for a city person.
Overall, I would say the food and the ferry are greatly recommended for a city dweller.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We only went for the firefly boat ride. Didn't eat there. The ride was fun. We paid rm80 for 4 people. And we got lucky there was no one else on the boat. So it was peaceful.
The place can be improved in the sense of cleanliness. We can see many thrash floating (around the restaurant, not on the lake). I'm not sure about the restaurants sewage management, because honestly, it smells a bit.
Would reccommend to see the fireflies.

Restaurant order flow is very well managed where you just need to order at the bridge first and bring the order list to the counter, just past it and you'll be given a table. According to my experience, it didn't took a long time for my order to arrive. Thumbs up to the team!
You can also enjoy fireflies sighting after food. But i don't know hows it, is there many fireflies to see, cause I haven't tried yet. Look forward to try one day ?
