Every time i go back to Ipoh, i will come to have lunch here. Delicious food with reasonable price. Famous for its sweet and sour pork (koh lou yuk), fried fish head (hong siew fish head), steam 3 eggs, fried vege with siew yuk, crisphy chicken. Always come early around 1145am to avoid crowd and wait.

Home cook style restaurant that remained the same for decades. It was already popular before concubine lane was popular. The customers basically orders the same main dishes most popular being roast pork stir fry watercress, steamed minced pork egg, hung siew fish, roast chicken and soups. Go early for a table of make reservations. Do avoid major holidays else parking is next to impossible. (No AC, so expect to sweat a little)

hidden gem in Concubine Lane, heard from the locals about this 3rd-gen restaurant. I would have walk pass without noticing, because there's hardly anyone during off-peak hours and interior was like a very humble-like old coffeeshop for breakfast. Yummy Yummy Chinese food, great for families. Be there early to grab seats. Kind and helpful boss. We ordered: steam lala, trio egg, watercress xi yang cai vege, ku lo yoke sweet sour pork etc. Though it's my first try, I introduced this place to a Western couple who are senior citizens residing in Ipoh for their retirement, and I'm glad they enjoy the food here too (another new dining place for them). can't wait for my next visit, wanna try their hong cao steam fish. Recommended by another table (friendly aunties) , during my last trip to Ipoh ??

More than 20 years didn't patronise this eatery. So dine-in and also tapau to try their dishes again. The dishes that are tasty - braised fish head, crispy skin chicken, sambal stir-fry watercress with roast pork, spicy la la. The steamed 3 types of eggs and steamed minced pork with preserved vegetable are extremely salty. Rest that we ordered all tasted average

This restaurant is already very popular before concubine lane went rival. They only have certain menu of dishes to choose from. So donโ€™t feel surprise when they told you they only have that specific dishes on that day. Food is very nice, standard is still there even after decades.

Excellent place for lunch. Opens early (10:30am). Have eaten here 21 years, each time Iโ€™m in Ipoh. Steamed fish and Ikan bilis taugeh are my favourites. This meal only rm30. Decor brings you back to the 1950s.
