โ โ โ โ โ Went there at night and there was a char kuey teow stall ran by an Indian couple called Alfans Corner. Curiously, I tried a plate of their Char Kuey Teow and suprisingly it was really good! Have the 'Wok Hei' in their fried dishes and worth the try. After that I brought back a packet of their Fried Rice and it was good too... Non spicy eaters have to request them not to put much spice/chillies to enjoy a mild spiced fried dishes.

โ โ โ โ โ Typical Chinese Food court style restaurant in town. Good location with decent foods.
But there are definitely room for improvement in terms of hygiene and tidiness.

โ โ โ โ โ One of those normal hawker food shop next to Taiping Mall where Novetal Hotel, a quite new 3 to 4 stars hotel, where some slightly different hawkers' foods are found. One in particular is the fried on the spot Hainan fried noodles where the chef will add dried sole fish bites into the fried noodles making it tasty. This chef, a bald headed man, used to work in restuarants before for 20 plus years and his experiences in dishing out platesof friend noodles is next to none. Do try his watery egg noodle called "wat tan hor" which is also one of his speciality.

โ โ โ โ โ Fried koay teow by an Indian cook, a bit different from Chinese version. Quite delicious and with wok hei. A bit too spicy for me even though I didn't ask for it. RM5 value for money. 3 stars
