Riverwood Holiday Homes

Riverwood Holiday Homes is a gem! The glamping attention in Kuala Kubu Bharu has always been The Sticks or Sarang by the Brook but due to popularity, they fill up fast and prices are premium. However, zooming into the area on Google maps, we found Riverwood Holiday Homes and to our luck, with just 5 days notice, there were available rooms for our 10 pax group. Accommodation Currently they have 2 main cottages, Kubu and Pertak Cottage. Kubu Cottage has 3 rooms but must be taken as a whole unit since it does share an indoor common living area. Pertak Cottage also has 3 rooms but may be taken as individual rooms. We took the Kubu Cottage and 2 Pertak rooms. The place is clean and well maintained. Both cottages are equipped with a common outdoor area, a fridge, washing sink and clothes drying area. Facilities Walking distance to a private river bank! it actually shares the river with The Sticks however didn't see many guest from The Sticks, maybe they have another private access within The Sticks compound further downstream. Basically we got the river to ourselves the evening we arrived and the morning we left. There are no other resorts or public picnic areas upstream making it the best of conditions. F&B Guest are only allowed to bring snacks and drinks. Meals are provided by them. We were served mutton curry for lunch, samosas and popia for evening tea, chicken and lamb bbq for dinner and homemade thosai and putu for breakfast. Meals were decided upfront 2-3 days before our arrival so that they can prepare. Riverwood is run by an indian family thus making their indian food selection, top notch. Hospitality The team was super friendly and attentive to us before, during and even after our stay, ensuring we felt at home. Communication during bookings was easy, making sure things are ready before our arrival. It can be seen the really want their guest to be happy during the stay. Now that we have discovered Riverwood Holiday Homes, dont think I will be considering The Sticks anymore and they are half the price of The Sticks! Even if in the future, they decided to raise the prices a bit, with the value we got, we wouldn't mind.

We stayed at Riverwood for 3 days, 2 nights. Very comfortable rooms, relaxing location, and extremely friendly and hospitable hosts! They collect our food requirements ahead so that they can make food to our tastes (we are vegetarian). Private access to the river.

Came here with family , we had great time , beautiful sceneries with fabulous hospitality . Simply Delicious food , cheerful service was amazing , all of us enjoyed ourselves.

Great place to spend time with family Mr Dave & Mr Mahendra were very friendly & polite. Great hospitalality. We came just for day trip, they were very kind to allow us to use one of the room so that we can change clothes comfortably. Highly recommend to come here. If you're planning to go chilling waterfall, come here on Friday, stay 1 night, then early morning on Saturday start hiking to chilling waterfall. Definitely can get there early before the place start to get crowded

My friends and I had an amazing time at Riverwood KKB last weekend and a large part of that comes from the wonderful hospitality by the host. Lovely place for a getaway from the city, well maintained, nice environment, friendly staff, delicious food, enjoyed the morning walk, love the nature and the river! A cool place for relaxing with your family and friends! Highly recommended!

Came with my little family, went back with many many good memories. Clean and practical place to relax with family. The best part of the holiday is to get to meet the owners (family run boutique chalets) of the place. Very friendly and laid back. Helpful and made our stay memorable. We were lucky to go during a low peak season. The river is perfect for dips and very cold at night. Really felt good to be back in the nature, reminding ourselves how majestic is our mother earth.
