★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mediocre at best…. Not sure why this place gets high ratings. Let’s start with the rice. It was simple old, likely leftovers from lunch. The Tom Yom is supposed to be their specialty. It’s rather plain without much character like good Tom Yom. And, in regards to salt…. 5 of 6 dishes had way too much salt. Two of the better dishes - the telur dadar (simple omelette) was good and not over salted. And the steamed siakat or fish with lime had well-developed taste but again too much salt. Salt can enhance flavor but it should not dominate the food. And after departing…. The distinctive MSG taste is recognizable on my tongue. Haiyo, tak sedap! Maybe this review will help them improve.
