When local people mention "er jie shao rou" or roasted pork, this is the right place you looking for at Sungai Petani. Many local dishes are delicious and affordable, such as sambai prawn plus squid, pork leg, etc.

In my opinion the BEST sausage in SP and as some people claim, in the Malaysia. 50+ years and going strong. Have patronised the place for it's simple home-cooked style dishes and of course the sausage and sau-rou. Personal favs: sausage, sambal sotong prawn mix, stir fry kailan, omelette, & toufu with leek.

Good dishes, reasonable prices. Food taste remains the same throughout many years. Total of 7 dishes, with mostly meat based dishes, cost RM92. Highly recommend. Not forget to mention the stall outside selling cendol and candy ice.

According to one of the lady bosses I spoke to, this restaurant was established since 1940 by her grand uncle. During that time, he was carrying a bamboo stick on the shoulder with rice at the front and dishes at the back and was selling in front of this building. According to the old people verbal saying, during the second world war, the building owner invited him for joint venture in restaurant. Since then, the Sin Yik Wah began its business and now it has been 4th generations already. The most famous dishes are the roasted pork and sausages. Please tell us what other dishes you like.

Delicious meal with reasonable price. Manned by the seniors who are still strong and making your trip worth every penny. Assisted by a group of good service staff. According to my uncle, this shop has been around for more than 50 years. Highly recommended.
