★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Though there were good reviews of the Sarawak Laksa served in Restoran Mei Sek, it didn’t kindle my taste buds - nothing spectacular. It was pricey at RM8.00 per bowl (25 July 2020) probably because of the two prawns lying on top of the noodle.
The coffee served by Restoran Mei Sek was commendable – sufficiently “kaw” (thick), not too sweet and with the right bitterness. It was similar in taste to the one served at the nearby coffee shop named Yong Sheng coffee shop – could be the same supplier.
