Overpriced dishes, they didn't have price listed for food (only drink has), so they were charging whatever price they like. I wanted to order a small fried noodle (mee goreng), they ended up serve me a BIG fried noodle because he said that's for sharing you need BIG one for RM10. The matcha selling coconut was very rude, yelling in the shop for many things. Feeling this is like a tourist trap. Food average but not awesome, price and services definitely rated zero.

The hokkien mee and mee goreng was good. Mee goreng was a tad spicy but also sweet. Average price was RM6. Kopi tarik and teh ais was good too. We've been going there at 8-9am so there was at least one park along Bangkok Lane but I'm thinking it'll get trickier to park after 10am.

Travel to Penang but must visit where the locals go. The Mee Rebus and Mee Goreng is a good choice.

Tried the Bangkok Lane Mee Goreng. It’s good My only dissatisfaction of this place is the hygiene, the kitchen and toilet are not in clean and good condition.

Came here for breakfast and had mee goreng, dry char kueh teow (they had wet or dry style) and also the prawn mee, all from 3 different stalls. Not bad, all pretty tasty! Right across the shop on Bangkok lane, there is another stall selling Malay snacks; pretty good and cheap too, worth a try.

Famous Bangkok lane mee goreng (4*) is in this coffee shop. Delicious sauce, generous portion of cuttlefish and full of wok hei. RM5. The koay teow soup (3*) inside the same coffee shop is also recommended. Simple and just nice koay teow soup and nice fishball. RM4.50. Prawn mee (3*) also ok and worth trying. RM5

NOT THE ORIGINAL BANGKOK LANE MEE GORENG The real uncle has moved to new lane park. This stall plagiarises the brandname (misleading bkk lane mi goreng poster as per foto) & is run by a group of youngsters. SCAM ALERT : Business seems down & hawker charged me rm8 when i ordered 'mee goreng sotong which the sign indicates rm5. His insistence being tht i didnt say i didnt want 'mee goreng tambah telur tambah sotong'. Gave him a mouthful of my mind. Average taste in terms of penang mee goreng. Other reviews here indicate this scam was experienced by other patrons too. Small slivers of sotong & the kuah lacks spicy bite. Will go back to my regular at edgecumbe gurney.

WARNING: the original Bangkok Lane Mee Goreng has moved to New World Park (search Google Maps). This replacement is edible unless you are food hunting. RM 6 for a big portion with lots of Sotong(squid) and tofu (fresh and fried). Not sure why the one I got had zero spice. It was served suspiciously fast, before my drinks came. The kopitiam (coffee shop) has past its prime when it had a few blockbuster Hawker stalls who are no longer there.
