β β β β β One of the undeniably mouth watering and palatable pavlova I have ever tasted β€οΈβ€οΈ always going back to this Serai for the desserts. Their dishes are awesome too. Do give a try if you are a desert lover

β β β β β Food was excellent! However, service was quite rude, not all but just one particular staff, a foreigner (a nepali i guess). When i was to enter (9.15pm), i was greeted by a polite lady at the cake corner, telling us that they're closing at 9.30pm and if we don't mind settling our bill at that time, and we agreed.
We have ordered, 2mains, tomyum and a pavlova. I requested him (the Nepali) to serve it after our meal but he insisted (in a rude way) that they will serve it altogether. Why is it so difficult to fulfill my tiny request?

β β β β β A fine dining ambience for traditional Malay dishes such as Nasi Kerabu, Oxtail Assam Pedals, Gado Gado and many more.
The Nasi Ulam is so flavourful with the right combination of Ulam, Solok Lada, Keropok Ikan, Salted Egg, Fried Chicken and the Budu sauce which all goes so well together.
The Oxtail Assam Pedas is a must try. The Oxtail is so succulent & tender and the Assam Pedas gravy is really flavourful.
Texture of Fried crispy brinjal is just right and is not soaked in oil. Gado Gado comes with a bowl of peanut sauce but we asked for a second bowl of sauce as we like the raw veg swimming in the sweet peanut sauce.
The Braised mushroom with broccoli is more a Chinese dish but the taste is equally as good as the one served in a Chinese restaurant.
There is a special Lemongrass drink served with some lychee.
Overall service is fast eventhough is crowded.

1) overall - Malaysian fusion restaurant located in empire subang, offers lunch, dinner and dessert, do expect queue during peak hours, advised to make reservation ahead of time, okay service from servers, recommended food would be fried brinjal, lemon steamed fish, salted egg squid, beef rendang, pumpkin spinach and much more from Serai @ Empire Shopping Gallery
2) fried brinjal - tasted not bad, crispy skin with the soft inner, fried with pepper and salt.
3) salted egg squid - all time favorite, tender squid with almost dried salted egg mixture, great mix of combination
4) butter prawn - very buttery, could be better if it used premium quality of butter, butter was okay size but fresh
5) beef rendang - loved the dish, a little too oily but the meat was tender, rendang was not too spicy, just nice.
6) latte - tasted a little sour, did not really enjoy the coffee

β β β β β First time in Serai @Empire to celebrated a birthday and absolutely will come again. The food was amazing, I like their deep fried crispy brinjal and deep fried salted egg squid the most. I ordered choco biscoff cake and it tastes really good. The service my family received from the staff was great. They are very friendly and polite that made us feel welcome. Food was served pretty fast.

β β β β β It was a surprise birthday party arranged by my husband with my family which was wonderful. Went there for lunch their staffs are friendly and helpful. Canβt booked by phone so it seems like my husband arranged as a walk in lunch party. The food were served nicely but for me were pricey and taste average. Wonβt say itβs delicious but wonβt say taste less. For the price the food served were pricey for me. Husband ordered biscoff chocolate cake as a surprise birthday cake. It was delicious. But pricey I would say per peice RM19. Ordered chicken burger for me. The mushroom gravy was too salty but the burger was nice. Nasi kerabu was out of point no nice at all. Nasi goreng average taste but the satay came with it was nicer. Kuey teow and Tyme and lime chicken were average. Overall I would rate over priced food with average taste. Their drinks also were over priced for normal tasted drinks. Like you are paying RM15 for normal glass of fresh juice. Which wasnβt fresh tho as they added sugar. Tried Serai long time ago and not a favourite of us. But it was a nice environment at the edge of the restaurant where it was privacy and far from crowd.

β β β β β 1. Lunchtime here at 1 pm on a weekday, it was crowded but we came just before the main crowd came. Phew!
2. Many Malay customers ... very noticeable. Why? Malay entrepreneur? Serai is synonymous with Malay dishes? Mostly Malay staff? Most puzzling. I always wondered why... BUT ...
3. food here is always delicious ... yet at upmarket price. The trick to enjoy food here is just look at the menu not the price as there is not much difference between the cheaper and more expensive alternative.
4. Would I come here again? Any time!?
5. Located at lower ground floor near to the escalator should you miss it.
6. I was told I had to go up one floor to the toilet instead ... misleading signage on that floor.

β β β β β Ohhh just amazing. Everything was super delicious. They even fillet-out the fish! Place was quite crowded during lunch time and despite that, service was good and commendable. The servers were neatly dressed and polite too. Love is the word β₯οΈ?
