★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was wondering what to have for dinner and happened to discover this little restaurant beside Sushi Zento. There are not much seats in the restaurant compared to other Japanese restaurant located in this area. The food was served quite fast and we never expect the food would taste so nice that both of us can finish them all. It's worth a second visit and we will definitely return for it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love finding gems. It’s even better when I find a gem in my own backyard. Often, quality is enough for me to classify something as a ‘gem’. It’s a bonus when price marries up with quality as well. I look for 2 simple things in Japanese food - freshness of ingredients and quality of their rice. These factors go toward the fundamentals of Japanese cuisine. Again, this restaurant ticks both boxes. We started off with the salmon sashimi (fresh and generous), soft shell crab tempura (well-marinated and crisp) and smoked duck sushi (excellent flavours, perfect ratio between rice and ingredients). Our main courses were the kitsune udon (extremely flavourful yet light broth, with generous seaweed) and tempura don (good batter to ingredient ratio and a very generous portion for the price, loved the rice!). Overall, an excellent meal which we thoroughly enjoyed, quality at a very reasonable price and outstanding without needing to be overly complicated. Will definitely be back!
