β β β β β KL Tower is managed by Menara Kuala Lumpur Sdn. Bhd. (MKLSB). It is the tallest telecommunications tower in South East Asia and the seventh tallest in the world. KL Tower, was built to improve the quality of telecommunications and broadcasting transmissions in Kuala Lumpur and the surounding areas. However, other than managing telecommunications, radio and broadcasting, KL Tower is also known as a "must visit" tourist destination in Kuala Lumpur.
The construction of KL Tower began on 4 October 1991 and was completed in May 1996. The tower was opened to the public on 23 July 1996 and it was officially launched on 1 October 1996 by Y.A.B. Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, the Prime Minister of Malaysia. KL Tower has now become one of the most significant landmark to Malaysia, a symbol of the nationβs advancement and development on the world stage.
Located atop Bukit Nanas at a breathtaking height of 421 meters, KL Tower was built, blending the tower seamlessly with nature. Bukit Nanas is one of the oldest permanent forest reserves in Malaysia. It was gazette in 1906 and was formerly known as Bucket Weld Forest Reserve. Covering an area of approximately 9.37 hectares, Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve is the only remaining virgin tropical rain forest in the heart of the city of Kuala Lumpur. Serving as the green lung of the city, Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve is also home to an abundant of flora and fauna of the Malaysian tropical rain forest. In fact, KL Tower is the only tower in the world located within a forest!
Its construction was completed on 1 March 1995. It features an antenna that increases its height to 421 meters (1,381 feet) and is the 7th tallest freestanding tower in the world. The roof of the pod is at 335 metres (1,099 feet). The tower is the highest viewpoint in Kuala Lumpur that is open to the public.

β β β β β Adult entrance fee is rm72 per entry for the skydeck.. But we were lucky to get special discount during the visit. There is also the revolving restaurant and an observatory deck on the lower floors (diferent entrance fees applies) .
Every one who is not chicken hearted may also enjoy walking on the glass floor while looking at the tower base hundreds of meters below. Visitors can view the KL skyline all around the tower 360 degrees. The is also the Skycafe on the skydeck where visitors can enjoy drinks and snacks while enjoying the views

β β β β β Though it was just for few mins you stay in the glass box for gets some fine clicks of yours, the whole feel, the time you spend at the top floor. Having the glance of the whole city is quiet mesmerising. I reached the place around 5 in the evening and stayed it 7 in the night when it turned dark.
I could see the sunset, how the city looks from the top in the day time as well as during the night time. It was one of the best moments which can ever be explained.
Though the place was crowded I was in complete peace with my self and the surrounding and having that best moments.

β β β β β The views from the top are fantastic. It really a worth to visit if you are visiting Kualalampur. You will have a queue to take photos from skybox and the time is limited as other people in queue will be waiting. But they will give ample amount of time to take some good clicks.
If you are still not okay you can stand in queue and come again to skybox as we did to spend some more time.

β β β β β This was definitely NOT for the faint hearted!
The trick is NOT to look down, as the height will frighten you, so just look into your partner's eyes and block everything else!???
