★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely atrocious. So much oppression going on. They practice public shaming of the students in the form of discipline. A few years ago, a teacher goes around caning the (female) students for not getting the grade he sets for the class and ignores the Education (School Discipline) Regulations 1959 Rule 5, not to mention, he did it in the class with other students there. The school is overcrowded with with at least 10 classes each year which leads to education neglect of the last few classes. A school should not undertake the responsibility of admitting as many as 300-400+ students per year if it cannot ensure that those students receive the education they deserve. The school polices ridiculous dress codes. Students must not wear hand watches with face that’s larger than 50 cents. The socks must reach up above mid thigh. Petticoats are a must and if a student is caught not wearing one (the teachers make the student stand in the sunlight to see if her legs are visible through her skirt which is borderline an invasion of privacy, goes against the freedom of expression enshrined in Article 10 of the Federal Constitution), the student have to buy it immediately even though the student tried explaining her situation. No consideration or empathy given to her. Mind you, the teachers will not take this to their office but carry out this sort of disciplinary action in public on school grounds in front of the other student. Again, complete disregard to the student’s emotional well-being when being treated as such.
