โ โ โ โ โ Pretty old, quaint place. Charming, even the paint flaking. Quiet with not many guests to talk to. Soft old spring mattresses. A fair choice. Ground floor.
The entrance is unstaffed because the family who own it are running their coffee shop 6 doors down. The cleaner will let you in and call them when you arrive. Walk in to others around the corner which are cheaper and nicer.

โ โ โ โ โ Great place to stay, one of the best hostels I have stayed at in my travels around Malaysia and Indonesia. The rooms are clean and the atmosphere is far superior to most hostels (Decoration, kitchen quality, showers, etc). My one problem was that the owners were not always present at their front desk, most hostels/hotels usually have someone at the desk in case anything goes wrong..

โ โ โ โ โ Great place to stay because it right smack near jonker street and heart of heritage buildings. Cheap nite stay. Rustic feel. Can sit behind by the river and enjoy food and drinks....Thumbs up...

โ โ โ โ โ nice place to stay for backpacker traveler. there are sharing bathroom outside the room. the place was unique & clean besides the owner is so kind. there is a cafe downstair at the backyard facing melaka river definitely made some noise but still can tolerate.

โ โ โ โ โ Jeg the caretaker is so freaking nice, so freaking sweet. The room is well kept. Toilet, though shared, but kept very clean. Enough toilet roll for everybody. Water pressure a bit off, but it'll do the job. If you choose the room with the garden view, it will be a bit loud at night, because of the bars downstairs. So not advisable for people with babies.

โ โ โ โ โ The caretaker is friendly and kind. This place is in the Jonker Street so you it's very convenient for you to go around. The room is quite small, but the price is cheap so it's ok. Note that their bathroom is shared, but actually there is not big deal if u don't mind. There will be a bar downstairs so if you want to sleep early it will be better to take upstairs room, they have various type of rooms for you to choose.

โ โ โ โ โ I stayed at dorm with a group of my friend. What I like about the dorm:-
1. Surprisingly, spacious room
2. Comfortable beds
3. Quiet at this side of the room too though it is right next to the river side with bar nearby
4. Good hot shower.
5. Locker is provided in the dorm so you can keep your belonging
Area of improvement
1. Owner may want to advise where should guest park if they are driving
2. The room key is simple, might be a concern
3. The air-conditioner in the dorm may need a service
