β β β β β This is the headquarters of a non-profit organization formed under the statute of Act 74. Left by the British occupation, hence this organization is mainly found in Commonwealth countries. They carry out FREE 24 hours emergency ambulance services under the MECC 999 call system in some states, while others have Haemodialysis centres. They also mainly do medical standby for large public events and teaching of First Aid/CPR.
During the pandemic currently they are heavily involved in supporting the Government in providing ambulance service, contact tracing and registration for mass vaccination. Their service survives on public funding, hence donations are much welcomed. The service is also manned mainly by volunteers of all ages.
