★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came here for an emergency... unfortunately the waiting time was 2 hours with only 2 doctors on duty on a Sunday night. 1 of them was attending critical condition and the 2nd was a attending to semi critical same time other patients. We waited 2 hours for 5 patients... absolutely unbelievably slow. Will never come here again

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst facility ever. Booked at 10. Waited until 1130. Whats the point of booking an appointment if we need to wait more than an hour? Shameful

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ All my children were delivered here mainly out of convenience and during the 90s, the price for delivery was reasonable for a quality private hospital but the price became steep towards the late 90s. I was a regular blood donor here until they did not want my blood any more because they said I was too senior. I have already more than 40 times and will not hesitate to donate my blood quota if any person in desperate need if irrespective of race after all, all of our blood is red. The Blood Bank said they are willing to contra the blood type if necessary but must pay for the bag. SJMC, they are so money conscious!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Concierge cant check where patient is warded in. "No access to system". Great. Have to wait at the counter just to check. Doesnt seem to be missing efficient.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Can't help noticing SJMC takes low priority on patients with insured coverage. They prefer patients paying personally. So much red tape before you get admitted or seeing someone for treatment.
The staff however makes up for all those shortcomings. I really can say 99٪ of the staff were great, notably Yee Mei of CCU who went the extra mile as compared to one incident in normal ward. Still, top notch service all around.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am very disappointed with SJMC. I was told during pre-admission that a room would be available when admission day comes. Two days between pre-admission registration and the actual admission date. When I arrived to admit the patient at 3pm, we were told to wait another 3 hours minimum to get a room. This is not acceptable since the patient has to wait on her wheelchair in the cold reception area for at least 3 hours. The management should at least have a waiting room/area that could give the patient some peace of mind. That should be a priority. Patients are not cattle waiting to be slaughtered.
