Supersharkz Swim school really helped me a lot in swimming. It has a clean pool and the staff working there are always ready to assist you.

Heated pool was down when we were there from Dec 2018 to Feb 2019 and toilet got flooded during heavy rain. They are very rigid in their system to the extent of driving one nuts. Hence customer that require flexibility should give this place a miss.

The best place for kids to learn ? swimming from the certified and qualified instructors and coaches in this swim school which is founded by former national swimmer. With their tagline "Where Champions Are Born", they should give recognition in form of certificate to every kids once they're passed a test in every levels.

The 1 star here is for the coaches who are actually professional and do a decent job at teaching the kids. That's the only saving grace for this school. I would give this place NO STARS for the reasons below: 1.Management: I signed up in mid Dec 2018 and chose a particular time, day, request for a specific coach (who we had during trial class and my boy & our friend’s child connected well with) which will begin in January 2019. One day before our class start, they informed us, our requested time is not available and basically we had no choice but to comply with their timings. Otherwise, we would have forfeited our fees plus all the miscellaneous things we have to pay for (it’s a swim pack that costs RM100++ very unnecessary, it should be optional). We also got another coach, so yes that adds to the pot of discontent. Lucky the other coach wasn’t too bad. 2.Facilities: They have a nice big pool for the older kids. My boy who is only 3, was supposed to be using the “heated” kids pool. It’s been 3 months the pool is not fixed. I think it was broken since November 2018 or earlier (you can read the earlier reviews). We followed up weekly. First few weeks, they say they are fixing it. As of recent, they say they are replacing the system. Just to be clear, my issue is not that my child can’t be in the cold. The main problem is the school is selling the fact that they have a heated pool but in fact they don’t! And, there are no resolutions for it but wait and see. 3.Customer Service/Communication: We just finished our first term last week. Apparently there was a report card, which was supposed to indicate whether my child would go to the next level. Basically no one bothered to explain to us about this report card (it’s our first term, come on!) and we thought it was just some record, which was left at the reception counter. Customer Service claimed it was communicated when we signed up (do you all remember everything which was said signing up for something?) . Even so, is it so difficult to be professional, take 5 mins and let us know what it is about? And, what is going to happen next? Yadda, none. Lo and behold, 2 days before the new term begin, customer service just called up and casually mentioned my child is being move to the next level (Huh? Honestly I don’t know how they did their assessment, my 3 year old just started 8 weeks of 30 mins class) and they are changing my class to another time ! Come on. what if I have back to back classes which we have scheduled since beginning of the year? Am I suppose to adjust to fit your schedule ? If I don’t, does it mean I will forfeit the fees again? No really, I think it’s ridiculous. This should have been communicated in a proper manner, given options and ample time to consider. Not through a casual phone call. 4.Side matter: My 3 year old threw a tantrum during one class. It was only one time out of all the classes he has been. The lifeguard or whatever his role was, did not act empathetic and made a judgmental remark “Oh is he always like this?” whilst I was trying to manage the situation. In fact, the coach told him off by informing him that my boy is usually well behaved. It was rude and unhelpful during the situation. If you have nothing better to say, hold your tongue. So yes BE WARNED. There weren’t a lot of reviews so this is for the parents who are looking for a place for their kids to learn swimming and come across Supersharkz. I’m not saying your kids can’t be an Olympic swimmer here but before they become an Olympic swimmer, you might get a stroke, dealing with their management. If you want to go to a place where you have peace of mind and reasonable/ fair systems. This is not the place.

My daugther (3 years old) has just graduated from Sea Squirt 1 (Saturday, 9am class) in Kota D'sara branch. On the first class, we were assigned to a not so professional gentleman instructor and i felt that my daughter has wasted the entire class session and learnt nothing. Basically all the kids were roaming around and he has no ability to control them. Or i should say that he is not showing any interest in conducting the class. Then, we requested to change to another lady instructor. She is very patient and professional. I would give her a 5 out of 5 Stars. After the 3rd class, the pool’s heating system failed. In the middle of the class my daughter will always complaint that the water is so cold and starts shivering. We’ve raised this issue to the management at the front counter however, no action is taken. Then we logged a complaint and 2 follow ups via Facebook, the customer service team informed us that the heating system has been fixed. There were slight improvement during 6th class but it is still not warm. Sadly my daughter is down with flu and fever 2 Saturdays in a row after her swimming classes (6th & 7th class). Today, we just ended the 8th class and the pool’s water is still cold. Finally, i am glad that this ordeal is ended. Super Sharkz doesn’t seems to be taking it seriously and therefore, there is no reason for us to continue with them for the next level.

You can send your children to learn swimming here, they have one 25m length pool and a small salted swimming pool for toddlers. In pre-com classes, they have approximately 40-50 kids, two classes per week, all of them dress in supersharkz tees, looking pretty uniform and cool when they walk in, just reminded of of my school days. Having to let my son to join in this swimming center, he is in pre-com now, started in star fish (beginer class) in less than two years he is in advanced class, just cannot believe it, but he is making a good progress. They also offer adult swimming classes and they also sell the swim wear and swimmer accessories.

We all want the best for our kids. My advice is not to send your kids here as there are better schools elsewhere. I've never felt like leaving a swimming school ASAP so much before. We were very disappointed. 1. FACILITIES The heated pool apparently malfunctioned since 2018 and one quarter of 2019 has passed! And the pool is still not heated. To make things worse, there weren't enough of shower rooms so we had to wait for our turn, wet and feeling cold (which isn't great for the little ones). The pool didn't smell like mineral pool too, it smelt like chlorine. Pool water was not clean too. No soap and toilet paper provided in toilets. Restrooms and changing stations weren't clean as well. 2. QUESTIONABLE COACHES' QUALIFICATIONS & SWIMMING STANDARDS - I observed a coach chilling in the swimming pool for almost 10 minutes without saying or doing anything while a group of kids were faraway on the float. Maybe he thought he was signing up for a life guard role. Maybe he isn't well trained, maybe he just isn't motivated. - Lack of engagement: the coach didn't give one on one session to each student, even for awhile. The coaches do not seem to know how to interact or get the children's attention. They don't seem to explain or communicate much with the parents who accompany their children in the pool. I've been to other swimming schools and can tell the difference in levels of engagement. - Insistence on using goggles: I kept hearing the coaches reminding the students to put on goggles. It's surprising and strange that Super Sharkz believes in coaching swimmers to become reliant on goggles. Swimming is a survival skill, and we won't always have goggles during times of emergency! Please note that many swimming schools do not insist on their students wearing goggles, and their students can swim just fine without goggles. - What the coaches at Super Sharkz teach the 6/7 year olds is what coaches in other schools teach 3/4 year olds. Toddlers at Super Sharkz learn in baby pools instead of deeper pools so toddlers do not get to learn to jump into the pool. Kids are a lot more adaptable than we think they are and the whole purpose of teaching kids to swim is to prevent them from drowning in deep pools. Super Sharkz appears to not realize children's true potential by lowering their standards eg. by putting younger children in baby pools. 3. CLASS MANAGEMENT Loud music is blasted most of the time and as a result no one can hear the coaches during class and transition of classes. It can get rowdy during transitions as the coaches do not know how to handle the children. The kids music played is also a major distraction. Maybe Super Sharkz can consider alpha music. 4. CUSTOMER SERVICE STAFF Perhaps the staff are so used to just sending email template replies to queries. I had to send 3 emails repeating my specific questions to get a response. The staff also appeared rather blur when I walked in for sign up. Bottom line is: There are better schools out there with much better management, facilities and coaches. These other schools do not force their students to buy their uniform too (unlike Super Sharkz). They focus more on proper coaching instead, and without using goggles too. We couldn't wait to leave this place! And the previous poor Google reviews can be a good testament of how we felt! Based on recent poor feedbacks, we hope that these observations can help you improve.

Supersharkz Kota Damansara is a very fun and wonderful place to train. The pool is clean and it uses salt water chlorine. The staffs are nice and friendly. The coaches take their jobs very serious . They are all very supportive towards the students and help them improve their techniques. The coaches do not allow the swimmers to laze around and work very hard to ensure the swimmers swim to their full potential.
