This is a great nursery and tadika. The facilities are very good and the grounds are excellent. There is also a good range of additional activities. The staff were very good to deal with, and most importantly my son always came back happy. There is also a bus that can be arranged if transport is needed nearby. We are expats and we only came for a year but we didn't regret the decision to send our son here.

Truly disappointed with how poorly the school has operated this year. I have two kids enrolled with my second in the first year for 3 year old class. My older child has been in school for the past three years and this year within the first week of school, she contracted UTI due to the negligence of the school during toilet breaks. Wishing the same month, she fell ill with flu again due to negligence of the school for trying her hair up after her shower (during day care which is an after school service by the school). When sought an explanation by the newly appointed HM, I was not given a satisfactory explanation and felt rather dismissed and ridiculed by my concerns. For a school that takes pride to being charitable linked and with such a ‘reputation’ to being one of the best schools (not to mention higher ranged cost) I feel frustrated that as a parent my concerns are not well addressed and have been treated in a dismissive way. Due to the lockdown when all classes had to go online, from the beginning there is always an issue with how online classes were managed. Although I have to admit one individual teacher Ms Emerley is truly a wonderful teacher for my elder childs online class, I felt for the 3 year old to sit through online class was simply not conducive and to only have the online class for several short hours despite paying full semester fee of thousands Ringgit, I decided to pull her out for online classes. When school reopened 5 months later and wanted to start in physical school along with my elder child, I was denied entry unless I pay in full the previous semester. Although I felt it was extremely unfair, and after much deliberation I accepted the schools decision and decided to re enrol in 2022. But what really really disappointed me as a parent is when the school denied my 3 year old for her class photography session. They said she was no longer a student and therefore cannot be a part of the class photo. I can see how the school can be rigid about this but I tried to explain my point that she was still a student for the first five months this year until online classes begun. What a low blow. I just wanted a token for my 3 year old to remember by since it was her first year of school. I offered to pay for the photography but no was a no by them. They may have the right to deny but as a parent I was seeking for something small, just a photography session with her class mates which I would pay for, but i was denied and not even a proper explanation by the HM. Villa Maria and Joyful Steps have truly disappointed my and I would not miss a beat to reiterate this to whoever brings up these names.
