โ โ โ โ โ Personally, Taiping Lake Gardens is a place you have to visit if you are visiting Taiping.
Itโs lush greenery and well-kept pavements make it easy and comfortable to walk around (or even cycle!) to enjoy the beautiful landscape and scenery.
Obviously, it can get crowded during public holidays.

โ โ โ โ โ Can't get enough of this park. Lovely views, cool air and nice waking paths. You can even see terrapins in the lakes! This is the best place for an evening stroll in Taiping, followed by dinner in the food court nearby.

โ โ โ โ โ I'd seen lake with trees filled with fireflies lighting up like a Christmas tree at night, but here in this lake, I discovered there's a tree filled with egrets.
What a beautiful sight!
Unfortunately, as we drove by, I can't get my phone ready enough to capture that awesome sight.

โ โ โ โ โ I can go here every day! I kind of do whenever Iโm in Taiping. Love walking around here. Love running here too. The park does get crowded sometimes, but thereโs plenty of space for everyone. Thereโs a lot of exotic birds too, which is spectacular. I love the crowd too, actually. Seems to be just a simple and happy place to be in.

โ โ โ โ โ Scenic landmark of Taiping. Best for running, jogging or strolling. There are few different pavements. Good for bird watching in the evening too. The rain trees are historical, and they are simply impressive to view in person.
Can get quite busy in the evening with locals and tourists.

This place is truly beautiful. We went when it was raining, and it was really beautiful, especially since most people would go home at that time.
Don't miss out the bicycles! It's worth renting the bicycles and cycling around the lake.
*The bicycles become really cheap when it rains - the prices are lowered according to availability.

โ โ โ โ โ My last visit to Taiping was like 42 years ago but I still remember the most famous spot which is the Lake Garden. A MUST visit place, when in Taiping. Spectacular view from every angle and such a peaceful place to be. Unfortunately the sky was cloudy and started to drizzle as soon as I started capturing the beautiful scenes. Although it started to drizzle, it didn't stop those people from their jog, walk, cycling or playing the water bike ducks.
The first thing I saw was a huge eel like thing swimming in d water...probably a lizard. Love the arches of the old trees...the tip of the branches touching the water. Even the old tree stump looks beautiful with nicely paved tiles around it, creating a unique art piece. There was also a huge piece of fallen tree branches placed on the tarred road with a steel support...acting like a station for bicycles. There were some tandem bicycles too. Kudos to the Taiping Municipal Council for maintaining the park and preserving the old trees.

Transforming a desolate tin mine, into the magnificent sight we see today.
The calm green pastures and distant towering mountain ranges, makes it a perfect place to spend some time to gather your thoughts, and do various recreational activities.
