Hands down the best char koay kak I've tried in Penang. The hokkien prawn noodles sold by the stall with purple bowls (porcelain ones when they run out of purple ones) is superb and the curry mee is satisfying till the very last drop. Thumbs up for the roti tisu as well.

โ โ โ โ โ This no frills hawker centre is located in an open space behind the small market square. Some of the hawker food here are quite good & above average. For local favourites like koay teow thng, hokkien mee & nasi lemak, there's more than one stall to choose from. We tried hokkien mee from 2 stalls & both were quite nice.

โ โ โ โ โ Great breakfast place if you want to feel the like the local. Cheap RM1 coffee kaw with wide variety of food to choose from.
Apam balik is a must try, hokkien noodle, char koay teow were local's favourite.
