When we arrived, the caretaker greeted and pointed the path to the river at far back of the house if we wanted to go. The cottage feels so homely, spacious, very clean and equipped with everything you need for the kitchen and barbecue. Water pressure is super good. Comfortable beds in all three rooms. Phone network coverage are good as well as the home wifi too. We spent our time mostly on the porch enjoying the view and the breeze of fresh air from breakfast, lunch, dinner and till after dinners too as the night lightings on the gazebo and on the grounds are so perfect! Accept for the mosquitoes were too friendly though! Wished we could just let the windows and doors opened till late night, but that is what kampong life consist of right! There’s a squirrel always running back and forth on the cable from the house to the trees, such a cutie! The best thing about The Semai is the environment, the view and it’s privacy. Feels so good to be surrounded by greens and nature. We did spend some time at the small river too. I cannot recommend highly enough on how much you should come to this place with friends and family to enjoy a memorable time and the peace this place offers. Note: When you arrive at The Semai Gate, you’d be greeted by some friendly red ants (LOVED it as I haven’t seen big red ants for so long) they won’t be bothered by you tho, just be careful when opening the gates at night! Also make sure to bring mosquito repellents! Long review, sorry but not sorry lol, as it is worth taking the time writing a long one for such a good beautiful place.
