Turtle Bay Divers

I went there 2 weeks ago and had an amazing experience. We got to see many different things (sharks, octopus, rays, schools of fish , barracudas and beautiful corals), the materials were great quality and people were very nice.

Let me just start of by saying this is the best dive centre ever because their customer service is just superb. The instructors and dive masters there were so helpful and accommodating towards my friends and I when we were there. Turtle bay divers manage to build a very strong community and culture that it made us feel that we are part of them and family. I don’t think I’ll be able to get such good customer service experience which nailed everything from A-Z. It was so sad that we had to leave and couldn’t extend my trip. My friends and I signed up for open water course and Adlin was our instructor. She has good communication skills when teaching us how to set up our equipment. She explains clear what we should and should not do during the dive and answers our questions whenever we have doubts. During the confined water dive, I struggled when switching mask with her underwater and was drinking a lot of salt water but she was holding my hand and helping me to put on my mask back on and continuously breathing through the regulator. She’s very attentive and pays close attention to her students by looking back and checking if everyone is doing ok during the dive. One of our group mates consumes air faster than most of us due to size, instead of just ending the dive, Adlin was willing to extend our dive time by providing her alternate air source to our group mate so that we can continue enjoying the marine life. This shows me that she really puts her heart into the job and wants all of us to have a good experience. After every dive we will have a debrief session where Adlin will give us feedback on our performance and how to achieve her 5 star rating hehe. She also sit with us to log our dive and helping us recall the types of marine life we saw during our dive. All in all, Adlin was a superb instructor and swims like a fish can turn here and there up and down whenever she wants. After obtaining our open water diving license, we went out for a fun dive with Yaakob and Carmen. Yaakob blended really well with my friends and I, teaching us not only about diving but how to build a strong a good community/culture in turtle bay divers. My friends and I really enjoy talking to him and would buy him a dinner if he ever comes to our hometown. Additionally, during the dive, Yaakob is like psychic in marine life, when diving with him he manage to find and showed us a shark that was sleeping under the rock, a hawksbill turtle that was not so obvious, blue spotted stingray and a few translucent squids. As for Carmen, she was my friends buddy during the dive and was very helpful in ensuring our equipments are properly in place and during the dive she stayed close to my friend and ensure he was ok and not floating up hahahaa. Both Yaakob and Carmen are really good dive masters that constantly ensures our safety by checking if we are ok and knows the dive site really well. All in all, my friends and I had the best customer experience during our open water course. It didn’t feel like we were customers, they made us feel like we were family and belong there too. My friends and I are planning to take more fun dives and subsequently our advance diving license with turtle bay divers.

Thank you to Sue and Yaakub, Azri, Azwan... for such a great experience in Perhentian! I walked in with no intention to be a diver, and came out a diver from Perhentian... Whoever is looking to learn diving, go there! Can only highly recommend them!

The place is spacious and clean. There is a nice chillout area where briefings/debriefs are held. Coffee, tea and water are provided. Luggage storage is also available. Equipments are well maintained. Staffs are professional yet friendly. Definitely a great place to learn/go for a dive. Adlin, our dive instructor made our whole open water course fun and interesting. There was never a dull moment learning under Adlin. Most importantly, we always felt that our safety were under good care when with Adlin. Our fun dive was lead by Yaakub, who is really knowledgeably in what he does. Briefing was done professionally and comprehensively with lots of humour. Under the sea, Yaakub spots/finds marine life like second nature. Again, we felt our safety were greatly looked after under Yaakub. Can’t wait to be back at turtle bay again!

Yaakub is a friendly and great guy who runs the place. He gave us lots of advice ranging from transportation to accommodation. Nick was our dive master, and he looked after us well. We did 5 dives for RM445, and we went to D'Lagoon, Fisherman's Wreck, T3, Pinnacle, and Batu Nisan diving sites. Pinnacle was definitely the highlight and a must.

Took Open Water Diver Course with them last week. Before taking the course, comprehensive information including schedule, fees, accommodation, boat transfer and so on was provided. It made me feel comfortable and hence decided to go for it. In overall, everyone I met there was super friendly. I can feel the positive vibes the moment I met them. Great people, clean and comfortable place, excellent course, transparent pricing and more. I was comfortable with the team and felt safe with them, so I decided to take additional dive with them after the course. Special thanks to Sue, Yaakub, and Joey. Sue was assigned as my instructor and she was exceptionally great. Big kudos to her! Yaakub and Joes were the dive masters for the following dives. They were professional and fun to dive with. Thank you for everything. I enjoyed the course and dives and I believe you will too!

Absolutely mind blown how amazing getting my open water at Turtle Bay is. Staff were super friendly and had such a wholesome family vibe. The people you meet are all having the same goal of exploring the marine life. The marine life was lively and stunning. Hands down the most life changing experience. Big shoutout to Azwan for being a patient, informative and fun instructor throughout the course. The skills may get a little overwhelming but you are very safe in his hands - literally the best. We had the pleasure to do a fun dive with Yaakub as well - a very relaxed, reassuring and chill dive at the Pinnacle. The people and diving left such a great impression on us, we are already thinking about doing our Advance soon! To those who are debating where to do your course, Turtle Bay has been operating for many years and have super professional instructors. Their social media may not be as active, but they are very much extremely busy. Highly recommend!

We have been diving with Turtle Bay Diver for so many years. They are super professional & experienced divers. Their equipments are great. Staffs are nice & helpful, very systematic dive centre! We always enjoy our dive trip with turtle bay! If u go perhentian, go for TURTLE BAY DIVER!
