β β β β β I have ordered 5 food items from Uncle Don Danau Kota through grab and order confirmed at 6.11pm. However, status doesn't change from preparing until 7pm, would like to cancel due to the long waiting time but Grab doesn't allow to cancel the order. It is understandable that it is weekend evening and more ppl might be ordering from home, but isn't 2 hours of waiting time too long? ( from food preparation to delivery at Sri Rampai)
Alright. However, this is not the main point of this complaint.
Finally, the food arrived but most of the packaging was in bad condition due to the heavy rain. The rider told me that he went to collect the food, looking at the packaging , he worried the food will be wet, he requested the restaurant to provide a big plastic bag to cover the food in an appropriate manner. However the shop told him that they do not have any bigger plastic bag and rejected his request. (How can a restaurant does not have bigger plastic bag?) Furthermore, they squeezed in multiple containers into a single small plastic bag(as per attached). And, Uncle Don charges Rm2.60 for each food item ( I paid a total of RM13 for the packaging itself!) whereby they packed the food in paper box. I think it's time for the management of Uncle Don to invest in a proper packaging since you're charging for it.
Hope everyone won't have to experience what I've gone through.

β β β β β Only the spaghetti and ice-cream were good, the rest, grilled chicken chop, fish & chips, and nasi lemak also not good, especially the nasi lemak, the sambal wa salty and the chicken rendang was soft but dry and small portion, nasi really tak boleh, really need to put close to your nose only can smell the nasi lemak fragrance and rice was soft and sticky, it taste like normal nasi. Really disappointed. Services there was OK, there were only 3 front end staffs even it's almost full house, however, they managed to serve the foods within 15minutes except Nasi Lemak which took about half and hour or moreβ¦

β β β β β We've dined in for lunch during weekday. The set lunch come with a drink and the food portion quite big. Overall, we are satisfied with it because food were served within 10 minutes and taste good too.

β β β β β Good service, friendly staff, food is delicious and worth the price. I love the German patty porky and the frozen beer. Pizza is yummy too. You can choose to sit by the lake.

β β β β β I visit around 5pm on Saturday. Let conclude my review. This is not a bad restaurant, the appetizer is nice (I believe this is due to demand during happy hour session). The pork chop taste not bad, just pass passing line. If friend invite me to visit again, I will say yes. For myself, there are other better option.
Let share about the environment. The restaurant has 3 big main doors open all the time, so the room temperature consider high during afternoon. The space between tables are small, not easy for people move around and also not baby stroller friendly. The environment is very noisy because pack of people and they are very close with each other.
The waitress are new and inexperienced. Their service is acceptable and friendly. Just still have a lot room for improvement.
Weekend's Noon shift might need to consider hire more people. I sit in around 5+pm, I saw the night shift clock in. Once they clock in, the drink, food serving speed improve. And the number of waitress increase and the service get better.
Food wise , the price is matching the market in this area. The taste just pass the passing line.
No complaints, a lot of improvement. Wouldn't highly recommend and I wouldn't stop you from visiting. I do visit other uncle Donna branch, may be this one wouldn't make me drive here for it.

β β β β β Not crowded which I enjoy and the food was as expected. I had the Mary Little Lamb(burger) but I much rather it didnβt come with the cucumber as it dilutes the taste of the burger. Guinness by the draft is always lovely. The service staff seemed new as they werenβt able to answer some questions I had about the drinks on the menu. However, I like the fact they have hard copies menu too as my old folks werenβt comfortable using the QR menu ordering.

β β β β β Came during dinner time and there were alot of people so service was quite slow. Overall, the nacho cheese and chef's pizza were good as starters and for sharing. Loved the crunchy thin crust of the chef's pizza. The Italian grilled pork belly was disappointing, it looks good but the skin wasn't crispy enough, nor was the meat tender enough, the bottom part was overcooked and tough I'd say. The German pork steak was pretty decent though as the meat was tender, though the cheese on top was probably not necessary. However, gotta give points for the pricing of the dishes here.

β β β β β 1st time coming here and was surprised to find Filipino food...sisig!! Niceeee ?? next time will try the pastas or chops..they got variety of menu here ..few good lunch sets too and selections of beer & alcohols ??
