Delicious local cuisines with reasonable price. Environment is pleasant and their staff is friendly. Love the wood decor.

The food is good with reasonable pricing within the Greentown vicinity. Been here a couple of times. However the staffs were less attentive and unprepared for peak hours, i.e lunch time. Being in a prime commercial business centre, one should be prepared during lunch time because that is when most of the customers walk-in. Waited for half an hour (or more) for egg on toast during one of my visits.

I went to this restaurant a few days back, after watching a promotional video about the resaurant in Facebook. The design of the place attracted me there and my family and I was hoping that we can eat some nice, delicious food in such environment. The place was nice, and "instagramable". I've ordered the Ho Ka Sai (milo+coffee drink, famous in Taiping), and that's was quite nice, for me. Sorry to say that, the place was just merely instagramable, as the food was a bit disappointing,at least that it doesn't surprises me. We've ordered laksa, a chicken chop and a Salted egg chicken+rice, curry mee. None of them taste up to my expectation, to the sense that, we would not go visit there again for the food. Hopefully that the owner of this restaurant will read reviews from the customers and make improvements on the dishes. I guess I'm not the only one that think the food is just so so, after reading the reviews. If by any chances you want to have a casual lunch or craving for food that tastes good, I would less likely recommend this restaurant. This restaurant is for you, if you want to take some nice photos.

I had fond memories of this place before Uncle Kang took over - back when it was a Western restaurant serving ribs, steaks and everything Western galore. When that place went under, it took me quite a while to come back to see who’s taken over the place. It was quite a stark difference - from a full-fledged Texan cowboy style restaurant to a humble rustic styled kopitiam. Menu was unflattering at first glance to say the least - near-disintegrated A4 paper listing their available dishes almost got my lunch companion of the day to pass his name card to them (he owns a printing company). Looking past that, they have a healthy number of selection for their dishes - ranging from vegetarian to noodles, rice to toasts. Typical of what you’d expect an Ipoh Kopitiam to hold. But what got my attention is their price. Bear in mind that this kopitiam is in the middle of Greentown - Ipoh’s business centre - that usually translates to a certain extra “tax” on everything sold around this area. To my very pleasant surprise, everything is priced from RM3.90 to RM18 - most of them are below RM10. I’ve not seen such prices since the 90s and that should tell you a lot. I ordered this Chicken rendang rice, polo bun, vegetarian economy noodles, Chinese herbs chicken drumstick noodles, and two glasses of iced Kopi O. Food arrives rather quick - no complaints there. Taste wise, I have quite a bit of mixed opinions here. Chicken rendang rice was pretty good - decently spicy, definitely something I’d come back for. Polo bun was kind of disappointing; the stinginess with their butter and kaya shows and the bun isn’t exactly amazing. Chinese herbs chicken drumstick noodles is horrible. Owner of this kopitiam, if you’re reading this, you need to fix this dish. I understand that this kind of flavour could be palatable to some people, but oh my god for a dish that’s supposed to be savoury - it’s sweet enough to amputate your legs for. I have a traditional Ipoh tongue, I can’t take uber sweet food like this. The vegetarian economy noodles is a stark contrast on the other hand; RM3.90 for this dish and tastes pretty much on par with the strongest contending Char Kuey Teow out there. It was unfortunate that I forgot to take a picture of this plat of noodles - I basically inhaled it. No brainer - a definite must order. Kopi O was pretty good, no complaints there. All in all, I must say it’s not a mind blowing kopitiam that you must advocate to everyone. For the price, quality, taste, environment, it’s definitely a worthy place for a quick lunch sustenance refuelling. Oh yeah, before I end this off, everything was around RM30+.

Portion is small. Not proportionate to price. Taste, so so only. Okay to try, but cannot say is highly recommended. You have to judge for yourself. Ambience is good though.

Food take long time (45min for 1 dish and the last dish needs to eat for more than 1hr) to serve, food taste is below average. Salted egg tom yum pasta with a tint of tom yum taste with totally no salted egg taste
