★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lim's is one of the only shops that still makes Poh Piah fresh by hand. His peanut and barley snacks is a traditional snack that reminds me a little bit of hand made old school butterfinger candy. (but much better)
Be sure to eat a bunch right then. They are amazing fresh, but also are a good gift to take home.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Popiah Skin here is of good quality, soft and chewy texture with nice flour aroma, it doesn’t tear easily when wrapping too. You can witness how it is done if you come here around 8-9am. However I find the Kacang Tumbuk (peanut barley candy) too sweet and lack peanut aroma, there are better ones on the island.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Uncle Lim’s Tradition Poh Piah (spring roll) skin was daily handmade by the 4th generation Master, the shop was situated next to Chowrasta Bazaar in Penang - George Town. The Poh Piah Master yo-yo the wheat flour ball dough in one hand, on the other hand holding a scraper. Then, he smears the wheat flour dough on the surface of a hot wok, leaving a paper-thin layer of popiah skin on the wok. The skin heats for barely 5 seconds before his assistant scrapes and peels it off. Thus the popiah skin was fresh, soft & fluffy couple with the aroma of wheat & chewy texture.
Besides, the shop also selling the popiah dipping & spices like: sweet sauce, fried garlics, fried shallots, sambal belacan, crushed peanut & chili sauce. Other item also can be found in this shop like: peanut & barley candy, ming tang, ar arm, pie tee cup & etc. Hence, you can bought those important ingredients over here.
