Good: dr friendly Bad: i find the price of medication is unreasonably high. Consultation rm50 is fine but for a strip of medication which cost price probably rm1, and u can get from pharmacy at rm3-5 (already include profit). They are selling at rm9. Thats just one strip. For total medicine can get in < rm30.. I got charge rm90 ? It happens not just in this Vet but most of the Vet in Msia. Nowonder ppl tend to throw away old/sick dogs coz treatment is too exp. Hope you all can charge cheaper for medication especially to shelter and NGO or rescuer. No wonder they can never pay back their debts and keep increasing. Not sure if medication price is controlled in msia.. But def its 300-400% the price u get from a retail pharmacy. Hope vet can be more ethical when come to prescribing medicine.

Summary: Skip this vet. Find someone more honest, anyone. This vet will rip you off and rip your guts out with medicine markup. Pros: 1. Central location 2. Ample parking 3. Dr. Chan is an experienced vet 4. There is a pet shop next door 5. Pets available for free adoption. (The people who surrender have to pay the cost ( for spaying, vaccine, food) the adoptee doesn’t have to. I surrendered one stray cat and gave an incredible expat price for surrendering: 300 rm) 6. Clean Cons: 1. Possibly the rudest, most high handed, arrogant receptionist in all of Melaka. 2. Be extra careful buying medicines. They may charge up to 10 times the pharmacy prices. (For example a strip of Chloramine is 1 rm in pharmacy and 8 rm here. True for most other medicines, it is a robbery!) 3. They do sell a lot of “Chinese medicines” and “special cocktails”. Based on my experience, I think most of these are “hocus pocus” but other people have had positive opinions. 4. Not cheap, not expensive, competitive pricing for the vet services . (The medicines are incredibly overpriced though). Like in most of the vet clinics, this is a business to make a living. So, shop around for better prices and services, otherwise it is an OK option. Remember the primary purpose of any business is to make money, sometimes by overcharging or utilizing all available means. 5. There is no law in Melaka or Malaysia that requires that spayed animals should have their ears clipped, neither strays nor house pets. The vet clinic will however clip the ear or charge you extra for not doing anything, i.e. for not clipping the ear of your house pet. If this isn’t cheating, am not sure what is?! Given the increasing stray and abandoned pets population in Melaka and Malaysia, it is time the govt looked at the root cause of the matter. One of the primary causes could also be that vet clinics are not properly regulated in terms of prices, quality and policies. Is it possible that, given the ongoing vet “scams” & medicine overpricing, many people can no longer afford pets and hence abandon them? Hopefully, the government will listen and put an end to exorbitant pricing and unethical business practices.

Please avoid this vet, scammers !! They won't give you a receipt unless you asked for it. And once you got your receipt please check the items coz I've got scammed several times with the list items was extra that the medicine they gave me.. Please avoid, way too pricey and they will always gave you lots of medicine and even asked you to go buy the extra food etc at their store.. Please avoid !!
