Via Pre Penang Italian Restaurants

Experience great services from the staffs, the food taste superb especially the pizza, there are variety choices of authentic Italian cuisines, definitely will visit again in future.

We have 3 dishes over that night and the pizza is the best of oven pizza in Penang. The pizza doll is excellently done. Chesses are great and tasty. Topping is tasty, but I wish it is more. :D We appreciated it a lot. 8 out of 10 for the Pizza. We will come back for the pizza.

We love your your food since first your outlet opposite jetty but it is sad when last visited here I saw your chef put down his face mask all the time in kitchen prepare our food. The services should up to the standard especially hygiene.

Decided to drop by since trying their sister branch in B.D'sara a few weeks ago. Equal in flavour, and execution of their dishes is spot on. The menu is slightly different but the old favourites are available. The space is much bigger and the service is really good. Highly recommended for Italian cravings. Interesting selection of beverages for the shy, brave and thirsty drinkers ;). Must visit when in Penang!

I went to Via Pre Penang and definitely enjoyed my time there! Kudos to the two wait staff that's ever so attentive, entertaining and joyful! I hope they get paid really well - these days it's hard to find such enthusiastic waiters that will lift your mood ?? Food was great (slightly slow on cooking as they take time to prepare one course after another), ambience was perfect! Food/Price: 1. Brusketta "Bisunta" (MYR 32) - The dried tomato is really sweet! Generous amount of mozarella cheese as well. Would be better if they made it bite-size. 2. Fake Parmigiana (MYR 32) - Eggplant and mozarella fritters with tomatoes, mozarella, oregano and basil cream. Texture was great but eggplant had some bitter aftertaste, tomato coulis was quite sour too. Personally did not enjoy this much. 3. Iberico Polpette (MYR 32) - Pork meatballs on cheese cream served with farinata. (Farinata is like pancake made of chickpea flour & olive oil). Didn't like the crumbly texture of farinata with it being tasteless ? It's better when paired with the meatballs since the saltiness of meatball overpower the tasteless taste(?) ? of farinata. Can't really taste the cheese cream as well. Another dish I didn't really enjoy. 4. [MUST ORDER!] Buffalina Pizza (MYR 58) - Recommended by the staff and he said we can never go wrong with this option. 100% true! I enjoyed the pizza a lot more than the starters. Look at the amount of Mozarella cheese!!! ? They're so generous with the cheese, parma ham and rocket salad. Parma ham wasn't too salty as well - it's so perfect! ? 5. [MUST ORDER!] Tiramisu (MYR 24) - Best Tiramismu in Penang!? The mascarpone cheese is soooo creamy! I personally prefer cheese > coffee in the ladyfingers, so this was great for me! Btw did you see most of their food is green, white, red? Could be a subtle sign of ?? (or is it I'm thinking too much)

The service is good and they are very friendly. Salumi e formaggi, tiramisu and bufalina pizza are must try. Pizza crustness is perfect. Seafood pasta not bad. A little bit on blend side so not suitable for someone who love heavy taste. Seafood is fresh though.

Classic Italian food that you can find in Penang. The service was excellent. Food was what you expect, a classic Italian standard. The pasta was excellent and pizza was cripsy and delicious. Would recommend!!

Honestly, you won’t find better pizza if you travel all the way to Italy. We love the food at Via Pre, and the staff are kind, helpful and efficient. We have had consistently great food here, we like the atmosphere and decor. And they have a great affordable lunch time special Mon-Fri too!
