★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love this place for many reasons. We used them during the fasting month. But in no way did this ever stopped them from giving us their best service. Everyday, they were early to arrive and open up shop. All our gear were packed and ready to ship out as soon as we arrived for the dive.
The office is small comprising of 3 shipping containers but we didn’t lack anything and we only spent a short while at the office anyway.
Their dive boat, the Lady Fatima is a spacious vessel by your average recreational diver standards AND it has a spotless clean toilet on board! Impressive. The entire boat is kept meticulously tidy and clean. Every item has their own place and the deck is always clear of clutter.
The Dive Instructors and Dive Masters are very committed but always with a sense of humour to lighten up the dive experience.
Breakfast and lunch is included in the package and are on board during the trip. It’s good food, considering the circumstances. Breakfast is a nice meal of nasi lemak with large anchovies and a whole egg or mee hoon with chicken cubes and a whole egg. Lunch is usually mixed rice, Malay style with vege, rendang beef and curry chicken. All a bit spicy so take note.
There’s always bananas on board for us to munch on and to help with muscle recovery. There’s a water dispenser on board with hot and cold water, enough to hydrate a whole boat of divers. They have an ice box with soft drinks too.
My only complaint is the transfer to the jetty. We sat at the back of the pickup truck. Its structure is a little rusty and there are wingnuts/bolts jutting out near the cab area (at the front of the truck bed). These protrusions at left and right makes for an uncomfortable ride if the truck bed is packed with passengers. I hope the owner will fix this and then Viking will be just perfect!
Tenggol is a fantastic dive site with dense coral and abundant marine life. Pair that with Viking Scuba and you’ll have a fantastic time diving in the East Coast.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Viking is so so diving center. There are many dive centres in Dungun. Others also have good equipments/boats but don’t have publicity as Viking. Viking pro boat, equipments, Aiman and Hafiz are good. Viking are not the type to hunt fish for you but u just look see with them. Next time I want to try others there who I see brings divers to better spots. Afro scuba, Che Wan scuba and etc. Try them out n nego for better pricing too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Enjoyed my time with this DC. super clean boat,refreshments readily available after each dives. Free flow of 100 plus,hot tea/coffee,biscuits & fruits.
Items well tagged and dive gears are setup by the team on a daily basis.
Dive masters are friendly and accomodative to us.
DC even has their own merchandise!
Viz for the whole 4 day dives was superb.Although we didnt get to see the whale shark we came to see,we understand that it's not a zoo that keeps the shark caged to be 'looked' at.
To another visit in the future !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Spend 4 days with Viking Scuba for our leisure dive. First time had tried staying on land based in Dungun, Terengganu. Way better than on island based, ada nasi minyak, kopi merata rata, everything Terengganu taste can offer you after your daily dive trip. Daily dive trip starts at 8 AM and you’ll be back on main land by 330 PM.
Boat trip takes 40-45 mins from their Jetty to Pulau Tenggol. Jetty is about 5 mins from dive centre and ample parking lot (RM10/day). Its safe to park with cctv surveillance. There’s a decent toilet for you to shower and change. Please bring cat food for the cats ? at the parking lot.
Dive boat is super clean and well maintained. Boat crew is super friendly and helpful. Makan toksah tanya - bapak sedap. Crew even apologised when we had to change boat on one of our day trip.
Owner was accommodating since we’ve decided to extend our dives to another day. Dive guides are well trained in customer service for sure ??. Reason why we will come back? Vikings will take you to the best of Tenggol dive sites repeatedly everyday to seek pelagic marine life. We had a great time and safe dives for sure.
