When I m in Georgetown I go there very often to have a juice in their basic stall (2,2 rm to 4rm for double orange, I prefere to ask with less ice and water) You can sit at a mid-open terrace facing Chulia street where you can watch the world go buy if you are lucky to be able to get that only table where it is possible . It is located at a strategical place in Chulia street in front of Love Lane entrance, next door Teng be grocery (cheaper stuff than at 7 eleven nearly in front). It is the place I meet my friends most of the time. Cheap and easy to find place. I tried for the first time there coconut jelly (1,5 rm a piece). It is good. You can drink beer at a good price in that place. The milkshake banana (4 rm) is ok. It is managed by a polite Chinese family. Service is quick. They made an effort for the decoration on the walls this year (it is nice now) with a bit more comfort and selling beer. I think their nutmeg juice is too sugared even if homemade. A pack of mango slices for example is 4 rm. Be careful when you climb the stairs to the terrace, it is a bit dangerous

Very good wonton noodles. We had kon lo (dry) with separate wonton soup. Have been operating since the 1940's. Friendly owner. Much underrated. Found it by walking around. A hidden gem!

Wantan soup is a must order if you're here. Rm5 for 8 meaty wantan. Each wantan has a generous amount of pork, unlike most wantan mee shops that serves airy wantan.

Coffee is ok. Can order wantan mee opposite. Oi Chen is good. Wild boar satay is delicious soft and tender

The best oyster omelette for my 25 years in Asia. Worth the trip KL-Penang!

The beef soup noodles or fondly known as ngau lam mee (RM9.00) is a Cantonese variation from what is served in HK, with a darker soy base of dried mandarin skin, herbs and spices. The noodles are delicately cooked and the soup is nourishing despite its presentation. A young couple operates this stall, certainly 2nd or 3rd generation as the stall claims a pre-war 1940 origin. A similar offering by octagenarian couple can be found at Kampung Malabar. The handcrafted wantons here (RM0.55 each) are filled with robust minced pork, lacking any shrimps, surprisingly on an island. The stall only operates on weekdays. Today, the beef brisket ran out, so you can settle for the Wantan Mee(RM5.50) plus beef soup (+RM1.00) to satisfy your carny binge.
