★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good taste authentic frozen Otak-otak, different from traditional night market coconut leave wrapped otak-otak though.
A rectangular chunk packed in plastic container, to be steamed prior to serving.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is not a restaurant. Its a shop to stopover and buy some food items.The place is listed as "Traditional Global". Their Otak is frozen and will be wrapped up in newspapers for your trip to wherever. Their mochi was good too. Smooth and chewy.
They also sell some other items like mee suah and soy sauce.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ok. Got variety of otak-otak: fish, prawn, squid, crab meat. Hot and no hot flavor. All sold in frozen. Others local tidbits and junk food like fish cracker, biscuit and etc, but not much.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic value and taste compared to my home country Singapore. The main difference is the chunks of fish inside the otah and for a cheap price. In Singapore, you can get it for $7 but even so they are a bit stingy on the fish however over here it's 7 RM, making it half price and for better portions.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Famous Muar otak otak (fish cakes), sold in Yong Peng, off the highway. Convenient stop to buy between KL and JB/Singapore. Frozen and prepacked, so can buy in bulk to keep or take overseas. Not sure if it is the best in town, but certainly we'll known, easy to find and convenient. You can get the famous loca fuzhou fish balls. Soft and smooth fish balls. Frozen and prepacked too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Whenever we passed by yong peng driving back home from Malaysia, we will always stopped by this shop to get our supply of otah. Over the years the prices have increased as more and more singaporeans buy from them. Nowadays it’s buy ten and get one free. Still cheaper compared to the prices in Singapore and they have a wide selection of different flavors for their otah like fish head, non spicy, sotong, etc!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice original otak otak. The original store was from Muar and they have set up a shop space in Yong Peng. The production and retail is still available in Muar. Other variants such as cuttlefish, prawn, fishhead (with bones), clam etc are available too.
