★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In September 2017, after searching Europe for our next yacht and having to deal with several difficult owners and deceitful yacht brokers we were so pleasantly surprised with not only the service but the professional manner with which YBC is run in Langkawi. From the start, Paul was open and honest about the yacht and his knowledge of the boat and ability to liaise with the seller was just what we needed.
We are very happy with our purchase of a Jeanneau 49 and Paul made the process easy and was always available to talk things through when needed. When it came to the sale and handover we could not have asked for a better broker to deal on our behalf and Paul has become more than a broker to us; his wife and their children will always hold a special place in our hearts and they are always welcome aboard. We both certainly recommend YBC as a reputable and well run brokerage.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Paul Jackson at YBC Yacht Brokerage & Charters sold us a bluewater cruising yacht in 2011. When we were shopping for a boat, my husband was unexpectedly not able to make the trip to Langkawi with me to tour the yachts that were on the market. I met with several different agents in Langkawi at that time and saw many boats. More than anyone, Paul made me feel very comfortable and at ease in what was an intimidating trip for me. He was very patient and allowed me plenty of time at each viewing and answered all my questions thoroughly. He is very knowledgeable about boat systems, equipment, and sailing. He is a good listener and really worked to to help us locate a boat that fit our needs/wants/budget and also to help me understand the pros and cons of the various boats we were considering. After the purchase, we hired Paul as a delivery captain to sail with us the three days down to Singapore. That ended up being a great learning experience for us as he helped us learn the ins and outs of our new vessel's handling. Overall, our experience with YBC was positive and I would recommend Paul as a boat broker for anyone looking for competent, considerate, and careful representation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Paul Jackson is a trustworthy boat broker whom I would recommend to anyone looking to buy (or sell) a boat in the SE Asia region. I bought a 50ft sailing yacht from him sight unseen because due to Covid I had to do everything remotely. He helped me through the long process including finding trustworthy surveyors and delivery crew to help me buy the boat in Malaysia and ship it to NZ. It was a long process (5 months beginning to end) but he was patient and reliable throughout. Anyone wanting to buy or sell through Paul can rely on his integrity and service.
