★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have our dinner here to celebrate Chap Goh Mei and it was my first time dinning at this place. This restaurant is at Ara Damansara which i learned is different from the one in PJ new town because over here serves pork. Our first item was 'four seasons' which i think is delicious and worth trying. But this is ordered off menu and needs booking before hand. The steam patin fish is nicely done with light soya sauce, is simple and taste good. One of my favorite dish which i think the chef over here has done a good job. The menu here has quite a variety to choose from and i am coming here again for a second dinner!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The price of a RM104! for a heavy taste of overcooked river fish is unreasonable and most of all its quality did not served up to its claimed yet they kept the other half of what you paid for! The Ying Yong noodle taste was so poor yet expensive for its size. Simply not worthy!
THE SERVER IS 80 YEAR OLD! could not even filled your desk with a pair of chopsticks.
Their old customers comes in heavy packs all above sixties, seventy years old do not care and practice SOP that really put you at a high risk dinning inside.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Price is expensive and nothing great bout the food. A plate of noodle for a pax priced at RM14. Famous for Kungfu Chao but it tasted bland. Personally think any hawker stalls can cook better then theirs. Quite disappointed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Strict C19 registration either via scanning or guest log book & temperature readings. Around 10 table with actual 1m separation sitting on a table. Table sits either 2 or 3 or 4 guest on normal or bigger table. Quick ? @ menu & Chef’s specialty recommendation & food served. Slightly smaller serving on Loh Han chye, none oily fried vege. Clay pot chicken had mixture of chicken meat parts with inclination towards meat. Own made soft cullent egg tofu fried & topped with non fine minced pork. Two size rice serving either small or normal. Nice & simple ambience with Chef specialty a4 poster decorate eye level wall.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was good and affordable. We had their gotong Jaya pork belly, yau mak with garlic, stuffed tofu pok and braised grouper. The fish we likely won't order again as there wasn't much meat but taste was quite good. Perhaps with fish slices instead of fish head. Will be back to try other dishes

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious food. Service great, they serve all dishes in one shot so might have to wait a while. Prices are reasonable. Glad to have a Karak gem in Ara Damansara

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When I posted on Fry Fry King not long ago, a friend of mine - Wilson Ng of the famous placesandfoods.com (gotta give him credit for it) - informed me that Karak's famous Yik Kee was going to open nearby. It prompted me to question further and he'd promised to inform me when he got the details.
Long story short, Wilson finally texted me one day and told me that Yik Kee has finally opened its door. Instead of Tropicana area, they open their latest outlet in Ara Damansara area. Luck has it that I had a meeting in that area one Friday evening and it was almost 8pm by the time we finished everything. When he suggested that all of us should have dinner together, Yik Kee popped up and I told him about this brand new restaurant. "How come that you know more about this area than me?" My customer asked.
10 of us drove from the office to the restaurant which took us less than 5 min drive. Located just right behind the more established Hiing Fatt, my past experiences gave me moved emotion - will it be good or not? While the original Karak location is sometimes good and sometimes meh, I was quite disappointed with the TTDI outlet.
◾steamed bak sou gong - ok, the fish was perfectly steamed and the hungry pack devoured it within minutes
◾Kon cheen har lok - love the caramelised sauce coating each and every fresh prawns.
◾Signature deep fried pork belly with caramelised sauce - having used to this dish, I found that the sauce a tad too sweet to my liking.. probably they put too much honey to coat the otherwise perfectly fried, crispy pork belly.
◾Asam seafood - the one seated next to me actually commented that the seafood past its prime (but still relatively fresh) but flavour-wise spot on.
◾Thai style taufu - something sweet and spicy to balance up the palate.
◾Spring roll (with dried oysters) - I could definitely taste the flavour of dried oysters inside, but overall it's not as flavourful.. had to dip into the chilly sauce
◾Stir fried green dragon vegetable with black fungus - good with extra crunchiness from the black fungus.
All dishes were above average... Total bill came to about RM400++ which we thought was fair. Time will tell if they improves on the cooking in the coming times.
