★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food here is considered a heritage of JB - pure, simple taste that makes one feel nostalgic. Place is bright and clean, and it's definitely a neighbourhood favourite. Good variety of Yong Tau Fu, soup tastes homemade and isn't overtly seasoned.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yong Hwa Kuey Teow, aka 荣华粿条. Another gem in Johor. What set them apart is the clean and air-conditioned indoor environment, and the plethora of optional add-on. If you choose the standard meal like I did, it comes in S (RM7), M (RM10), L (RM12) sizes. M size offers prawn, pork meat, pork liver, fish cake slices (real big), fish ball, fish toufu etc. Instead of kwayteow, I chose to try dried meepok. It did not disappoint. Prices are a little stiff though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I started eating this when the late uncle still attached with one of the coffee shop in perling, i like the tauki, crispy and fresh, the taste of the soup is not as good as before, but still a place to go during rainny day, I do miss the kway tiaw soup there once in a while.
