★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Arrived at this kopitiam past 11am, and true enough, the stall selling wantan mee is washing up. Large queues stood at the Yong Tau Foo stall still doing brisk business.
1. The ice coffee is just so-so, nothing to be excited about. I couldn't taste the coffee fragrance at all, just milk and a tad of bittersweet hint of coffee bean.
2. The Yong Tau Foo, Chee Cheong Fun is different here, loved the tau-foo-pork filled with meat.
3. Crazily, i also like the plain fried dark economy noodles with bean sprouts on top. It is a very simple, yet tasty and satisfying.
Overall, people in the restaurant are friendly, helpful, speak mandarin even though we tried to convince them we speak Cantonese better than Mandarin

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Super popular with the locals and visitors alike, Yuan Kie gets REALLY crowded early. If you want to be able to get a place, be there before 8am, otherwise you'll be left standing around waiting for others to finish.
Located conveniently in Bentong town itself, the famous items on sale include the chee cheong fun, the wantan mee, curry mee and even mixed rice as well. Lots to try.
Again, BE EARLY! Especially during the weekends!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Heard that this place is popular for their wanton noodles as they are freshly made everyday. Too bad, it was sold out early as we arrived there. Still have to queue up to enter the restaurant as this place is also popular for their 'chu cheong fun' and 'yong tau foo'. This place live up to their name for their food and they were delicious yummy ?. Stuffings were fresh, the sweet sauce, chilli paste and curry sauce were really good. Like the local coffee over there, was well balanced with nice aroma. Not forgetting, their butter n kaya toast was one of the better ones that I had tasted.
Today, was early but still crowded with diners for breakfast. Managed to get a table for four after waiting for 15 minutes. At last, got to try the famous 'wanton mee' over here. Good for my standard.....nice and springy homemade noodles with tasty bitter black sauce. Comes with char siew and two types of wanton.....deep fried and boiled ones.
